I'm gonna start off by showing my creation: Second Chance.
----When this minion takes fatal damage for the first time, prevent it.----
So, it may look like Immune, but remember, if the minion has 7 health and it takes 6 damage it still goes down to 1, but if he takes 7 damage Second Chance will be activated, preventing the damage. Obviously inspired by Ice Block, but I think this should be a neutral mechanic. Here's some simple examples:
Now this is going to be a really cool thread, figure i'll show my warlock exclusive mechanic, Bargain. It started off as something only being on Satyr minions, a sort of Subtype of demon but I ended up including it on other cards in the set.
----When you play this minion, your opponent activates one of it's effects.----
That's really awesome! I love the fact that you make your opponent harm itself xD it's like letting someone choose how they wanna die. And it fits perfectly the Warlock class for some reason. :)
OK, so... I made something that I doubt it would work in any occasion AT ALL xD. But! I imagined someone could help me "fix it" or balance it or whatever... well here it goes!
---When this minion is played, your opponent can't see it's details, target or damage it. It is revealed at the start of your next turn.---
And your opponent sees it as this:
So, this probably wouldn't work because your opponent would know it is a minion that has Camouflage (unless you used obfuscate), narrowing the options down, and would know the cost (since it can see how much mana you have), narrowing it down to probably like 3 options or so. In the end that wouldn't result in nothing and it would just become Stealth. If you guys can find a way to make this work, we can make a cool new mechanic together! :)
I dunno that does look like it could work as long as enough minions had camouflage that there was a decent pool of mystery, maybe they should also appear as neutral or hunter minons as well? Alternatively your spell is a good way to go, like it shouldn't be on minions but something you give to minions in your hand and deck. Also it should probably work similar to stealth in that it shouldn't break till they attack :p

So if Fel Boar Attacked a Totem Golem then Fel Boar Would die and Totem Golem would be at two health, Then at the end of the turn Totem Golem would die.
I think Second Chance is a fantastic idea. You'd just need to watch power levels because it could be very strong. You could put this on a high health minion, making it resist spells that would normally kill it in one go.
Bargain is a great idea too but I don't think Blizz would ever implement it. They don't want you to be able to do things during your opponent's turn. A good reason for this is that you could just stall and waste your opponent's turn by not doing anything. Some people also multitask while playing and this might inhibit it.
Camouflage is definitely interesting but I think it would have to be restricted to specific minions. If you could use camouflage on any minion you could set up some super strong OTK's (think Malygos with any class immune for one turn). As well it might be difficult to determine how Charge and Battlecry would work with it (whether your opponent would see these effects or not).
I've come up with a mechanic called Sentinel. Cards will have Sentinel X: followed by an effect. The effect will activate as soon as the enemy has X minions in play. If they already have that many when you play it, it will act as a battlecry. Otherwise, it will activate as soon as the summon enough minions. You can activate it on your own turn with cards like Hungry Dragon. The effect will only activate once; it isn't repeatable.
The mechanic is supposed to be anti-aggro, so it is neutral. Here are a few examples I came up with:

I really like this one, you can benefit from being in trouble hahaha. DETAIL: Put the number between parentheses as in Overload: Sentinel (5) ;D
The Bargain mechanic sounds cool, but will never occur. Blizzard has made a strong commitment to players not interacting with the board on their opponents turn.
Camouflage or something similar like playing a minion face down could be an interesting concept that actually has a possibility of existing, Ditto for poison.
I made a really really simple one. Im surprised there are no cards with this simple text in the game, so im almost 100% certain this mechanic will become real in one of their next expansions.
Beatdown: Whenever this minion attacks, do something!
I was thinking about Bleed and I'd like your opinion. Other than freeze we don't have many negative effects in the game (maybe corruption can be another). This should be a rogue specific mechanic and the effect will be the following:
----Minions with bleed receive -1/-1 at the end of each turn.

I rather like bleed, keeps that gushing wounds feeling but not in the classic take 1 damage at the end of each turn you often see. I like the concept behind it though, can totally see rogues using it.
I also very much like the Poison concept (if anything though i'd probobly switch the names between the two abilities haha) a unique take on the effect and def one that could see play but it might be hard to balance late game minions with it since it could easily become an OTK by buffing and combining things like windfury with it

I was thinking when you bleed in real life (or in a game) you slowly lose both in health and in strength from blood loss. The weapon also makes a nice contradiction with Sword of Justice. Pretty standard I admit but I'm open to more awesome ideas...

Well, this is something already present in the game (technically), but it'd be way more practical to just call it beatdown or something else instead of When this minion attacks...

I personally feel that it'b be better if it was: Minions damaged by this minion get -1/-1; or something among those lines, so everytime it attacks the target gets -1-1

Hey guys, I have an interesting challenge for you! I want you to create a new mechanic for the game (examples: Divine Shield, Stealth, etc.)!
You must then: -Give at least one example of the mechanic (minions, spells, anything)
-Choose to which class it should belong to (can be neutral too)
-Please explain it well, and HAVE FUN!
EDIT: Changed from 3 examples to just one.

Yeah, I guess it should be a thing you give to your minions. This should work better:
It puts some pressure into killing it, so it should work well with some taunts.

Here is my Idea.
Some of the Minions.

Excellent brainstorming overall though!
That's awesome, and I like how you represented it with a Hero Power :P
oh, and dat legendary, so cool xD
