I'm a long-time HS player (ever since the iOS release way back in 2014), but my track record in constructed is pretty darn mediocre. My first taste of moderate ladder success was during BRM after I opened a Tirion Fordring which allowed me to build a semi-competitive mid-range paladin that I piloted to rank 8-9 a couple of seasons. I play on iOS during my train ride to and from work, and until Verizon upgraded the cell towers at my train station I would lose at least 2 games every day due to disconnects :P
I first hit that sweet, sweet rank 5 after WTOG came out. My go-to deck was midrange hunter after opening a golden Princess Huhuran (I still love that card!), and I distinctly remember trashing 3 priest decks in a row on May 31 to actually get rank 5. I also had a thing for N'Zoth Paladin, and it was usually good enough to get me into the single-digit ranks.
But then after the Call of the Wild nerf and the rise of Shaman I reverted to my usual mediocrity. Even when I tried the occasional OP tier 1 shaman deck I never had great success, probably because I kind of suck at this game and I play it on my phone. Months would go by where I'd barely crack rank 12-13. It was kind of demoralizing.
Embracing the Power of the Dark Side
I still feel dirty thinking about the moment I finally caved and crafted Patches and Leeroy. But I needed my golden epic card, so what the heck.
On Tuesday, March 14 I started playing Pirate Warrior.
When I started I was Rank 14. I had immediate success, made it to Rank 8 without too much trouble. But when I went 1-3 last night I figured my climb would probably slow down as I ran into better decks and better players at the higher ranks.
Boy was I wrong! I subsequently went on a FOURTEEN GAME winstreak (STILL ACTIVE), from Rank 8 to Rank 4 .
its just the proof that noobs this days dont need a brain to play. they just use pirate and go face. Pure Brainless stuff. thanks to players like yourself meta is shitty. because kids this days cant afford to have high IQ.
I beat a legend cardback pirate warrior with a fucking hunter deck because I needed to do the quest. Not even Reno, it was a weird control deck with all hunter cards. Pirate warrior is the ultimate crutch, this guy made constant misplays and it was just embarrassing. And he wouldn't stop emoting. I feel bad for pirate warriors, they're so pathetic.
Pirate Warrior.

Here's the list:
Is there a moral to this story? You tell me, friends.
Disgusting.
I hit legend every month. Hitting rank 5 with pirate warrior isn't impressive at all.
S39 Legend - Quest Rogue, S38 Legend - Murloc Paladin, S37 Legend - Miracle Rogue, S36 Top 200 Legend - Aggro Shaman, S35 - Finished Rank 51 Legend - Aggro Shaman, S34 Legend - Aggro Shaman

such a trick playing pirate warrior. Not even hitting legend with it, lul
This is my deck with one difference, I run -1 Naga Corsair and +1 Acidic Swamp Ooze
I went 24-5 in the mirror.
Considering this was about 50% of all my matchups, IMO one ooze for one naga corsair is very much worth it. YMMV
This is a sad thread.
