So I finally saved up enough dust to craft all the cards I needed for this deck, and played a couple of games... I'm underwhelmed and I'm losing a majority of my games. It feels like the deck is way too slow and greedy, so it can't really contend with aggro decks with so many dead cards in your hand like Mountain Giant and Faceless Shambler (which are staples in this deck?). Plus, this deck isn't able to out-value Reno Mage, Reno Priest, or even Druid. Can someone explain to me why this deck is supposed to be so good?
Mountain Giant gives you a 8/8 on turn 4, and faceless shambler then backs that up with an 8/8 taunt or with Twillight Drake for a 4/7 or 4/8.
Basically you have AOE and heals to control the board and keep you alive until you can reno, then a bunch of heavy hitters to back you up. You need to aggressively mulligan for Reno or AOE really, but theres a lot more to it than that.
They'll be times when you don't draw your survival. Be that Reno or other heals, or you can't stablise the board with AOE, and you will just get turned over. You have to accept that.
There are times when you just outright lose but for the most part the reason you are losing against agro is most likely some of you early decisions. If you have trouble against a certain deck play it for a while and learn the tendencies and you will play better early game.
edit: if you having problem with agro switch up some tech cards to help you out. FS doesn't help much against agro and is oriented toward a control game so maybe switch that with a senjin and find a spot for second rate bruiser. Also, don't think that just because you tech these cards you should mulligan for them.
Bascially with Renolock, if you don't have 7 or 8 (AT LEAST) cards in your deck, you're probably doing something wrong, you'll often have 9 or 10 and need to make tough calls to avoid milling yourself (throwing away coin) etc.
Only problem with Renolock is early game against pirate warrior with good starter hand 5 mana lethal you need lucky starter hand in order to avoid a lose against pirate warrior and that sucks yes. Beside that all other decks are beatable with Renolock with a smart play.
Of course Renolock is tier 2 deck right now I think Renomage is way better against aggro decks thanks to Ice Barrier + Ice Block + two times Reno + Hero power
You face jarraxus you face jarraxus eredarloooooord of the burning legion!
Cant win vs druid?
Pressure him constantly until: leeeeeeroy jeeenkins leeeeeeroy jeeeeenkins
Ez gg wp
I've stopped using the Leeroy combo. It's good against control where you need the burst, but you need to devote 3 cards to it. Going for a bit more early game control with Voidwalker and a few other cards really helps against aggro.
How a deck that has Jaraxxus in it struggle to out value reno mage, reno priest, jade druid etc? Lord Jaraxxus is infinite value.
Now if you never played handlock, you will need time and experience most of all to learn it. Right Mulligan is really important in such decks, knowing when to tap and when not, when to play aoe and when not. Just go on twitch or youtube and watch some streamers. You'll learn.

You don't know how to play it is a hard deck.

Similar gameplay.
Tap m8.
The 1st step towards a better game is firing Mike Donais! We had enough of his "skillful" balances!

you have to get aware of one thing :
There are decks in this game which you cannot auto pilot - craft and win.
Renolock is one of those so you should watch skilled players playing this deck and learn the match up's and mulligans.

Watch some YouTube vods of the deck!
You will get better really fast. I saw Kiblers RenoMage for about a week before building one and it felt "ok" when I started to play it.
The same for Renolock with other players, you will see how they manage vs different decks and what they mulligan for, and how greedy you can be.
Absolutely nobody here is giving you worthwhile advice. Go to Hearthstone twitch and watch a top stream playing the deck
not drawing reno on 6 counts as missplay, same a drawing patches in opening hand ;p

Snarky answer incoming:
Against aggro, draw into Reno while surviving to turn 6; profit.
Against control, draw into Jarraxus while surviving to turn 9; profit.
