So, with Saronite Chain Gang no more granting his battlecry to Shudderwock, infinite chain can not be built. Therefore, we should do semi-infinite chain - play Shudderwock, and then bounce him manualy. How do we make him survive more tho?
Should we gift him Elusive so noone could target him with spells or Hero Powers? Oh, wait, there is not such card in Hearthstone! And keyword too (for some odd reason, give me F in chat for Enrage).
Nooo, we should give him.... stealth!
And the winner is the Coppertail Imposter! Unless your opponent have hard board clear, you still can do your old combo. Guaranteed!*
What are your thoughts? Is it good enough of a replacement to save the deck? Here's my version of how i would build this:
P.S. OK, so people are already taking out their pitchforks on me to burn me in holy fire for 'trying to bring Shudderwock back', so hear me out:
TL:DR I THINK THE NERF IS GOOD AND WELL DESERVED AND NOW YOU CAN HAVE COUNTERPLAY TO SHUDDER WHICH IS MOST IMPORTANT THING FOR ANY COMBO DECK THX BYE!
Thats the gist of it. There are combo decks in this game, this is fine. There are even OTK decks. But you should be able to interact with your opponent's combo + combo should be sort of a hard to achieve.
That's why Raza was nerfed, thats why Charge dont really gives you a charge anymore, why Aviana now costs 10 mana, that's why if they will nerf The Caverns Below third time, i wont be surprised. That's why there are cards like Skulking Geist, Loatheb and Dirty Rat.
To have a counterplay. Now Shudderwock shaman, a combo deck, have a counterplay with this nerf, which is GREAT. But does this mean we should just abandon such powerful, such flashy card like Shudderwock? NO! And that's why i made this post and this deck. To appreciate the great combo deck which is Shudderwock Shaman.
what#s the point though? You're not getting infinite 1-mana Shudders, which was the entire point. Playing 9-mana Shudderwock every turn might be neat, but not enough to win the game in the long run. I'd rather go for building a powerful 1-time battlecry and dobling it with Murmuring Elemental.
I don’t agree with people telling you to just stop, but I do believe this is an objectively worse deck than original shudderwock. Props on making this workaround though.

You see, I do have Grumble, Worldshaker in my deck, but since its legendary, you not always have it/have enough mana to play it, therefore Zola the Gorgon and Bog Slosher are here, just for consistency. Murmuring Elemental just seems as a too bad card to me, id rather have some defensive tools instead.

Should we give him more health with Twilight Drake?
Should we grant him divine shield with Lone Champion/ Corpsetaker?

*(Our guarantee do not cover Twisting Nether, Psychic Scream, Crushing Walls, Flare, Brawl, Equality + Consecration, double Dragon's Fury, Vanish or Volcano cases)

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Go away.

I tried having fun once. It was awful.

It's still possible to make it infinite, not neaely as bonkers however.
You forgot Omega Defender. Get that +10 attack in there!
How does this give you a 9 mana sudderwock every turn?
Galavant Animation
Isn't it obvious?...
Use Unstable Evolution to evolve into Doubling Imp, cast Spirit Echo to get the Imp in your hand. Easy.
Those who are given more in life, must not cling to it, but risk it all at every moment!
There are way to many ways to clear a stealth Shudderwock.
1. Mage with Dragon's Fury with Flamestrike, Blizzard or Meteor in the deck.
2. Priest with Psychic Scream shuffles Shudderwock into the deck.
3. Hunter withDeadly Shot or Crushing Walls kills it.
4. Warrior with Reckless Flurry kills it.
5. Warlock with Cataclysm, Twisting Nether, or Unwilling Sacrifice kills it.
6. Any class with Deathwing in a deck kills it.
Some of the cards dont see much play. But if this new Shudderwock deck takes off because of nerfs to other decks expect to see them.
If you are in your first year of playing please read this post.
Dust does not burn a hole in the jar. Be careful what you craft, especially before and right after a rotation.
BRILLIANT!
I know, I actually mentioned it. On deck page. Guess I should just copypaste it here.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I played this deck even before the nerfs. Ive gotten two 26/11 Shudderwocks with stealth, divine shield, windfury and taunt.
I don’t really have a problem with bringing the deck back, the problem i see is that Twisting Nether, Psychic Scream, Crushing Walls, Flare, Brawl, Equality + Consecration, double Dragon's Fury, Vanish and Volcano is used by 60-80% of the meta, and as long as the entire strategy can be blown out based on the good chance your opponent has one of these, it just doesn’t seem viable to me.
I did another one. Quite diffrent and might need rework but first test games showed very dynamic gameplay. Maybe a healing rain is needed.
i kept searching for a bit and i came up with this deck (only for wild tho)
goldshire, murloc, raptor, and fanatic are only for early game sustain (and partly for fanatic's battlecry)
doppelgangster while being expensive at 5 mana presents a replacement for the chaingang or even an improvement because of the doubled effect
and finally, the coopertail's stealth gives you a chance to cast zola's effect
the rest is obvious
*i started playing less than a week ago so the i won't be surprised if huge flaws are pointed out*
