Credits: I saw this deck or something similar to it in one of the Twitch Streams and I made this deck based on what I saw and my original preferences on some cards.
My win rate sits about 85-90% (only lost 2-3 times and I just got Stats program) in this deck.
2- Always keep Forked Lightning in your drawing Hand this card is simply amazing.
3- Use your Hero Totems a lot especially in the first few turns.
4- If you have Mana Tide Totem and your Opponent got 0 monsters on the field Throw it, you will either get at least 2 draws out of it or the opponent will waste a destruction card against it thanks to it's amazing 3 health pool.
Yeah just saw it, that guys took it from the same stream but mine is different as 1- Unbounded and +1 Argus
Edit: Also I used Storm and Illidan as I don't have Rag and Malygos yet ( just got into beta few days ago ).
Edit 2: As why I decided to switch it is because in that deck you have 6-8 creatures with Taunt in this you can have 6-10 with Taunt, why is it that important? because this deck has no means to defend against Weapon Heavy Decks except Taunt creatures, also Total points gained with Argus is 5 / 5 on the field which requires 1 card plus 2 Taunts creatures while Unbound will have 4 / 6 if you played extra 2 cards from your hands. You can argue that you can increase it further but it also can be countered using 1 card like Assassination unlike Argus.
Ahh yes i saw this yesterday, 2 times, im a new tester 3 (startedn 3 days ago),.. the first time pwned me but the last one i crashed him bad. I was trying to cap my "3 Victories!" using a BASIC/expert´s druid deck with just a couple of Rares (1 x Demolisher, 1x Violet teacher and 1x emperor cobra), wich i luckily got within my card packs (quests reward)... pretty basic, but seems effective against copycat´s. just "trample" him.
I have to agree with Dracomage, its a good deck, pretty dinamic, but pretty expensive at the same time,.. and not only for new players, you can make better decks with that.
PPL´s have to learn to make their own decks, stop wasting money to copy other´s, pick the way they think of course,...and learn, upgrade, grow up, and move on.
It is expensive and I don't recommend it to new players because it needs proper judgement to when you can and cannot use your spells due to the Overload mechanics above the cards themselves...
But for the cards ( Epics + Legendary )
Earth Elemental: can be replaced by a beefy Taunt creature only options I see are Lord of the Arena and Sunwalker depending on your preference.
Malygos: This one is replaceable by Ysera in theory but you will loose those awesome Spell power advantage ( Stormwind Champion is the Basic replacement ).
Ragna: Can be replaced by illidan which will surprise you in this deck or Stormwind Champion ( Black knight also viable ).
This deck has flaws against Heavily aggressive decks if he doesn't save ( Lightning storm / forked lightning ).
For economics already answered.
Agreed but you can also get inspired with new original ideas from other peoples own ideas like with this deck inspired me to create 3 decks that I am testing right now. ( Priest / Shaman / Paladin ) I might post them after validating their strength.
1. I have cards like Ironbeak Owl but even stronger ( in this deck ) which is Earth Shock / I tend to save Hex for really troublesome creatures (Legendaries).
2. Bloodlust is one of those cards that are amazing but simply out of place in this deck because it relies on you having the board presence which this deck doesn't provide well due to high spells count ( 14 + 1 weapon ).

I don't know about xmadskullx, but I prefer the current weapon used as it's faster to get out and you can combo with the Unbound Elemental fairly early on.
Doom is a horrible idea in this deck, very costy card that won't do you any good until very late game in which you will be spending your resources on your big monsters instead (Overloading will take a it's fair share as well ).
Also you will be taking unnecessary damage which you cannot heal.
Your deck is good, I made some changes to better suit my play style, I like more board control and balance. I ended up spending all my dust for crafting a Malygos, also put my Illidan in and tried a handful of games, so far only lost once to a Priest.

Strategy:
1- If you are playing second turn and you have Flametongue Totem always coin Hero Totem then Flametongue Totem on 2nd turn (Throw Flametongue Totem to the right side of the Totem)
5- Your Big Boys generally should go like this (Fire Elemental > Earth Elemental > Ragnaros the Firelord > Malygos) Malygos is simply Over-powered in this deck ( Earth Shock > Silence + 6 damage / Lightning Bolt = 8 damage / Lava Burst = 10 Damage / Lightning Storm = 7-8 Damage AOE / Forked Lightning = 7 Damage to 2 Targets ) you get my point =)
6- Throw Unbound Elemental when you can throw Overload cards in the same turn (Personal Preference) this card is insane when left alone.
7- Don't waste your Stormforged Axe to hit the Enemy Hero when he is on high health get his minions instead.
8- Always protect your +1 Spell Damage Totem, it will save you one day =)
9- The Above rules are meant to be broken on special conditions of course XD
Other Viable Cards:
Illidan Stormrage: Because of the low cost cards you throw this card can spiral out of control.
Raid Leader: can give a nice bonus to your Totems.
Stormwind Champion: same as Raid Leader but with Extra Health also.
Ysera: can give you the almighty dream cards which will cause all sorts of trouble to the opponent.
Other Versions of the deck:
3 Star Master Competitive Control Deck v2.0
Note: You can replace:
3 Star Master Competitive Control Deck v3.0
3 Star Master Competitive Control Deck v4.0

Pretty expensive deck to create for a new player...

Could Ysera be an acceptable substitute for Malygos? I'm not certain how critical the +5 SD is in this deck.

@DSC
Ysera is a very valid card which can replace almost anything, but with that said you will loose the FUN factor in it.

After good amount of testing, I decided to put the paladin deck up and reformatted the post.

I run a very similar deck, only a 1 star master tho.
Couple of questions:
1. Without cards like Ironbreak Owl, when your opponent puts down something bad you want to silence, do you just hex and kill?
2. Many games I won were because of a final Bloodlust rush, have you consider putting it to you deck?
Thanks
@sacherich

Overlooked your Earth shock, now that makes sense
