Hey guys, a request had me make a Rogue Template, here it is. Nothing to fancy, strong as always. Capitalizes on constant card draw and free cards to combo with, that keeps a high hand count and constant board pressure. A good amount of cards clears out minions from the board, practically for free! And then buffs everything on the board up with our favorite set of cards. Onto the deck list:
Weapons & Spells: Assassinate for clear, and Eviscerate is versatile. Perdition's Blade is such a good weapon and Poison Dagger gives you great early game. Backstab has great synergy with combos and a good boost from Azure Drake. Everything has a purpose 1 Mana: Argent Squire is perfect with Rogue, allowing for cheap ways to combo and better ways to play the early game 2 Mana: Draw power is the name of the game here, with Defias Ringleader being an all-around excellent card 3 Mana: The strongest pair of 3 drops - Harvest Golem and Shattered Sun Cleric - meet the excellent SI7: Agent 4 Mana: Defender of Argus, 'nuff said 5 Mana; Azure Drake was a point of contention, but drawpower and spell damage in a single 4/4 is too good 6 Mana: Argent Commander is too versatile to not run two of, trades well or works as a finisher
Cards to Consider: Tinkmaster Overspark - No other alternative for a transform The Black Knight - Easy removal for taunts, something Rogues have problems with Bloodmage Thalnos - Great in any Rogue deck Leeroy Jenkins - An offensive pick, finisher, clear. Pack your Blade Flurries! Fan of Knives - If you feel that you need more AoE clear Blade Flurry - If you feel you need more AoE clear, as well as damage Knife Juggler - Destructive early game with this card Faerie Dragon - For when early removal gets on your nerves Acidic Swamp Ooze - For when weapons get on your nerves Dark Iron Dwarf - Defender of Argus's more aggressive cousin
I just got the edwin vancleff card! could put it in this deck? thanks for everything. your fans love you
Yes but I would replace 2 novice engineers for 2 argent squires, they would be a good 1 mana buff for your cleef too, also 1 backstep for 1 perditions blade or even betrayal for some aoe are great replacements. backstep can do wonders with si agent, you can hit any 2 damage minion and then take him back and summon again for that 2 spell damage
I already have two Argent Squires in this deck as well as two Novice Engineers.
For Edwin, you should preferably swap out an Assassinate for him. I'm not a big fan of carrying two Assassinate and the speed/cost of it won't help Edwin. I also believe morgen is referring to Shadowstep, which isn't a bad idea if you're able to keep a few more battlecries on the field to support the effect alongside buffing Edwin. You'd have to make a few adjustments for Shadowstep to get better value, but it can work - look for some simpler charge monsters if you want an aggressive deck to put Edwin in or try Gnomish with its higher health to act as a psuedo-heal.
Thanks for your kind words, I've been out of touch with making new content as of late, so I've resigned to just hang around on the forums until I can pick up streaming and such again. If there's anything you'd like to ask, shoot me a pm.
Hey Aishi, made an account on this forum just to comment how solid this deck is. I've been running your deck with a slight moderation of swapping one perditions blade for a betrayal and one novice engineer for a knife juggler. knife juggler hasn't been proc'ing that often, but always seems to draw some sort of removal which is good I guess. anyways, great deck. will be checking your other decks out and giving feedback for sure.
Removing a second Perdition's isn't a bad idea, having two might be overkill at times, but it allows you to snowball the mid-game at an insane rate. Two Sunfuries might not be the best decision because of the speed of this deck, but I definitely see no problem with a single one. I think Ringleader might be one of your best cards to Sunfury if you want a small front line, susceptible to AoE as it might be.
Looks like the Perdition's <-> Sunfury swap is your best bet to try out.

It does as well as you can tailor it to be, it's a template.
Rogues are in a pretty decent spot right now.

Also, any thoughts on replacing a ringleader and knife juggler/perditions blade for 2 sunfury protectors?
