Seeing a lot of shaku in that new aggrogue. Is he worth 1600 dust? Maybe. It's probably better to save the dust and see how things pan out after rotation.
I ended up spending dust on Shaku some time ago. And I'm really happy with the card. I play him In my jade rogue, Imo he adds some flavour and sometimes you actually get a good card of him.. Currently Im testing shadow sensei alongside Shaku and its actually not to bad..
Also, Shaku was the first MSG legendary I've got after the launch, and I kept it, because it has a Play 2 sound similar to Lorewalker Cho's Play 2 sound.
I crafted the little fella as soon as MSG hit. After extensive testing, i decided i'd rather use another undercity huckster. It's cheaper and its deathrattle can be copied. Only downside is that is sometimes doesn't survive to attack, but it guarantees a card (unless silenced).
On the other side, there's Shaku, which practically guarantees a card and (almost always) guarantees to deal damage due to concealment, has the possibility to draw multiple cards if being unchecked, hard to remove until unstealthed, and can be buffed while in stealth. The reality is that 99% of the time he draws only one card, deals the same amount of damage as huckster, but costs 3 mana.
I love the burgle stuff, but it's completely nonviable unless for fun. For it to be good, it needs cheaper discount minions or spells (i always mention that we need mini-ethereal peddler, 3 mana, 1-2 mana discount), a way to replace burgled cards, and more discover cards instead of get random.
Or a cheap minion or spells that allow double combo activations (and more minions with creative combos). Options are limitless, i hope they are preparing something nice for us, bearing in mind that even the conceal and azure drake are going away.
Shaku's one of the most fun cards I've used. I got him in a pack so I didn't craft him, but I've used Burgle Rogue to get to rank 5 the past two seasons. Blizz seems interested in supporting the archetype, and we honestly don't lose anything of use as we still have Swash, Huckster and Peddler in standard. I've been running one Burgle which will be gone, and some people like using Unearthed Raptor, but other than that, it'll be in a good state in Mammoth. Thief Rogue has definitely been one of the most fun decks I've played with so it has that as an upside.
Hello guys, im about to craft the new rogue legendary, but im not totally sure.
Do u guys think it will be playable after the next balance patch? IS coming in 10 days, and i dont wanna waste my dust :S
thank you.
I opened him from a pack, and he's a lot of fun, but I'm not sure I'd craft him unless I already had pretty much every other useful card
Yes, it's not a bad card, go ahead, I was about to do it too
I wouldn't craft it. The card sux
It is playable but you can do without him.
I saw it has been played in many tournaments, thats why i was wondering it :D
Shaku is actually really good. Lifecoach uses it so it must be good. Crafted it a while back and it's well worth the dust
Shaku is good with Shadow Sensei.
Without it, you just get one card with it.
Well he's basically is a must kill, so u get one card and maybe bait out some removal
It's a good card, but it won't make or break any deck (except Burgle Rogue). There are generally better things to spend your dust on.

try to save your dust for all the golden hall of fame cards

It is a good card, but it's not gamebreaking (yet? ever?).
If dust is tight, you'd probably be better off spending it on something with higher impact (Aya, Leeroy, etc.).
thanks all for the answers!
