Ysera for sure. It fits in almost every Priest deck. Needless to say that it's awesome, if you pull out in the right moment (when your opponent is run out of removal), you win.
Sylvanas Windrunner is also great. You can stabilize the board with just throw it, but I'm disappointment with her because in this meta every single opponent has an answer. However, go for her when you can.
Damn some really good points. I have Ysera and Sylv but was thinking Paletress next.. but now reconsidering. Justicar is strong but I wasn't really thinking of him. Maybe Vol'jin since I could also use him in an aggro-style Priest for good value removal with my Smites. Didn't even think of Nexus Champ at all though... damn what do I do!
If the question is which cards are better for the deck I'd rate them 1: Ysera, 2: Vol'jin, 3: Sylvanas, 4: Palestress. If you're asking craft order I'd say 1: Sylvanas, 2: Ysera, 3: Vol'Jin, 4: Palestress.
Ysera is one of the win conditions the typical Control Priest strives to hit and then ride out the value for the victory. She's one of the most resilient minions in the game dodging both Shadow Words, BGH, and simply by having 12 Health. aggressive decks.
Thanks for the insight. Now that you mention it, Dragon Priests are a really tough matchup for me, since Auchenai SoulpriestCircle of Healing, Holy Nova, and Lightbomb only just tickle their high health minions. Ysera might be the answer I've been looking for. Vol'jin also helps with that matchup.

As someone who doesn't have Sylvanas but plays against her often, I'd agree with you on this. Sylvanas has at best been just a minor nuisance when I face her.

Hard choice right? I watch a lot of Zetalot and Kolento Control Priest, and they rarely run both Ysera andConfessor Paletress, sometimes Zetalot tries it but always ends up taking one out since its pretty greedy and having both in hand early can result in an auto-lose. That being said, if you're in legend and not facing a lot of aggro, and you're facing a lot of Control Warrior, having both Ysera and Confessor might net you some games.

This is the deck I've been running in its most recent form. I may sub out one of the Shadow Madness for another Shredder but honestly that card is a lot better than people give it credit with Shrinkmeister support. For example, Sylvanas Windrunner to a 3/5 smashing into their now sole threat and I basically 3-for-1 them.
It doesn't feel particularly weak to anything or particularly strong versus everything and it requires a bit of thought to pilot but it's a lot of fun.

Looking at your list, the Auchenai COH doesn't really fit in an aggro deck since you either wipe your own board, or you don't have a board to start, which is not very aggroey. Deathlord is also a weird choice for aggro, and even Injured Blademaster and PW:S are weird choices. Don't think you have quite enough creatures. Not saying this is a bad list, I just think it's not really considered aggro.

Soulpriest and COH don't necessarily need to be used together. COH + Blademaster is a strong early move, but the Soulpriest combo being available can save you if your initial rush gets blocked with a heavy board. Deathlords also are a good counter to other aggro and help me maintain some control as I get on my offensive. Also with Inner Fire and Divine Spirit then can become a huge OHK. I guess it's more a mid-range style play than aggro, I just call it aggro since it's not by any means a Control Priest deck.
Sylvanas. Neutral, can Combo with light bomb sometimes, and you can death it to have a mini mind control on your deck. I have Ysera and it only really works in Dragon decks at the moment. If you're just running control priest, go for sylv.
Sylvanas, for sure. Ysera is better in Dragon Priest, but control? Sylvanas all day. ALL DAY. Sylvanas is MUCH better then Ysera. She's even better then Ragnaros. Ysera is killed by some removal or simply ignored by druids since it doesn't have taunt, Sylvanas forces your opponent to do terrible trades.
For healer priest definitely Ysera and Sylvanas, for dragon priest Ysera. Unfortunately Priest class legends are not good enough and don't have consistency or game changing moments.
The jury is still out on whether they are good enough or not (I believe they are, if used properly), but regarding consistency or game changing moments, I don't think they lack them at all: Vol'jin will always help with the removal of something midrange-y or even big and Velen will always provide some very life-threatening combos. Both of them can be consistent and game changing - you just have to be patient for the right time and plan it ahead, like other minions that require perfect timing.
As far as Sylvanas, as I wrote earlier in my experience nowadays she doesn't do much and is usually successfully ignored. Sacrificing her with a Shadow Word Death may be an option, but sometimes it feels like you're wasting it on her instead of a later threat that may come. I am usually looking for alternatives in her mana spot in many decks - and I thought I'd never say that!

While a lot of people rate Sylvanas as one of the best legendaries, as well as one of the most used legendaries, I think a lot of people include her because there aren't other options at 6 mana. I usually don't have too much trouble against her. I can just imagine crafting her, and then Brodes creates this neutral Dr. 6 that breaks the game, and I'll regret crafting her.
I wouldn't go as far as saying you'll regret it, and there are a lot of ways to make her work. She also works behind the scenes sometimes, like Loatheb. Or a silence might be wasted on her, or the opponent might be forced to play nothing before killing her (thus giving you tempo advantage), and they may be forced to do that if you taunt her up etc etc.
For me, crafting her was always a top priority because I kept seeing her in so many decks I wanted to try, and I wanted to have my own view on how well she works. I think you'll never find out for yourself if you don't use her for a while (not in the occasional arena or via random minion generation). It's amazing how our views change with experience, and my own certainly have regarding many legendaries before and after owning them.
Ysera. A great win condition and more versatile than CP or Vol`Jin. The latter, imho, is a good addition but with far less impact compared to the other three. Sylvanas, obviously, is an excellent legendary, but in control priest I would clearly favor the dragon.

Battle doesn't need a purpose; the battle is its own purpose. You don't ask why a plague spreads or a field burns. Don't ask why I fight.

Balancing busted cards version 1.0.
Thanks for the input everyone! I was leaning towards Sylvanas before posting this poll, but I'm definitely swaying more on the Ysera side now.

Shaku, the Collector gave me the Plague

Just Sylvanas and kill.
In Rexxar we trust
at the person over me: Ragnaros solo wins freeze mage match-ups... and they are getting a bit more popular these days -> he isn't complete useless ;)
on the topic: i pretty much agree with the general input here: for your deck: ysera would be best, but i would still craft sylvanas first.

Ysera is by far the most impactful and best wincon in the game for control players. It's not as versatile as Sylvanas Windrunner though.
Well Met!
I'd say Sylvanas, not only playable in control decks, you can out her in midrange too
