Am I the only person who does NOT want to give up MC in their deck? All these great Priest decks on the forum have no MC. Don't Priest decks always go late game? Why doesn't anyone use it?
I run 1 Mind Control, and 1 Sylvanis + 1 Shadow Word: Death, which functions quite nicely as a second Mind Control if needed. I came up against a priest running 2 Mind Controls earlier and couldn't believe it.

I run Faceless Manipulator instead of Sylvanas. It's limited to stealing 5 attk and above minions except Sylvanas and is more reactive, but I like the fact that there's no randomness involved. Against aggro you can always copy your own Sludge Belcher or something in dire straits.
I like 1 Mind Control in my control oriented priest decks. More than that tends to be overkill. I want it late in the game and its good for sealing a victory.
Two of them tends to be overkill and damages your hand more often than not earlier in the game keeping you from getting to the late game and using them.

I run two MC in my control deck and yes, most of the time it is overkill. It is only useful against another control priest with only one MC because although you basically do nothing for two turns, you get to keep/steal that Ysera. When you're nearing fatigue it can win you the game.
Also against handlock, if you somehow manage to threaten them throughout the game, stealing 2 of their giants or infernos can bring you very close to victory.
I am currently 8-1 against hunter, between ranks 19 and 11. I feel zoo is harder, and when I lose it's before turn 10. But I face more handlocks so that's not a problem.
By the way I saw a very similar deck here a few weeks ago with positive ratings, so it is definitely viable.
I run 2 mind controls. 8 cards left in deck, not one drawn. mirror against priest. he uses thoughtsteal (we're both topdecking). Makes me want to insta concede :(
I'm 7-11 against warlock, don't have the details of the match-ups. I don't think I've defeated a single handlock this season, although I had a couples of games where it came very close. I know that's my weakest match-up so I don't get salty when I lose but I'm still trying to tweak my deck and improve my gameplay.
On the contrary I'm 10-1 against priest and in most games it comes down to who has the second MC.

Mind Control is 10
Assassinate is 5
The minion you are MC'ing must be worth 5 or more for this card to be worth.
It's good, but to get that far into the late game, the only use is as an anti-Control Warrior/Handlock/Priest card.

Surely The Black Knight is more powerful than Gandalf...
