Psychic Scream, Duskbreaker, Spirit Lash and Shadow Visions will be gone, so the only AOE left is Mass Hysteria, which isn't reliable. I predict priest will have to fall back to the Auchenai/Circle once more. But then what? Which leads me to the next question...
HOW DO PRIESTS ARE GOING TO CLOSE GAMES ?
Innerfire / Divine Spirit isn't consistent without Shadow Visions. Dragon Priest doesn't have the tools to fight the board early against the Baku nonsense and has pretty bad synergy with Mass Hysteria. Archbishop Benedictus fatigue war attrition no longer. Alex + Mind Blast is still possible but loses a lot of consistency and range without Shadow Visions and Shadowreaper Anduin
I am really concerned about this next rotation. I reached legend multiple times riding weird decks but its the first time i can't formulate any kind of playable gameplan/strategy for a class i've been mastering from closed beta. There is a VERY REAL possibility that priest won't be even playable if Blizzard mess up in the next expansion.
So yeah, lets keep our eyes peeled when the time comes and plz Blizzard, don't mess up.
I mean, every single class will lose significant amounts of their core sets, because the rotation takes out the most powerful sets in Hearthstone history. The only class that will sort of survive this, with a semi-realistic deck still, will be Paladin, whose Odd-Paladin and Even-Paladin certainly will be able to survive the onslaught.

You forgot Odd Warrior, most of it's core cards are from this years sets.
I am for one happy to see a lot of strong cards rotate. The whole idea with the rotation is to change the meta and allow for the creation on new archetypes.

People already wrote what I will, so I just want to detail this for some classes seeing (or saw) good amounts of play.
Druid: Lesser Jasper Spellstone, Malfurion the Pestilent, Ultimate Infestation, Branching Paths, Spreading Plague, Twig of the World Tree, Hadronox, Living Mana (for token strategies), Oaken Summons. This is pretty much all the defense druid has right now.
Hunter: Crackling Razormaw, Terrorscale Stalker, Deathstalker Rexxar, Candleshot, Wandering Monster, Flanking Strike, Lesser Emerald Spellstone, To My Side, Rhok'delar, Kathrena Winterwisp. GG's to spell hunter and deathrattle hunter.
Warlock: Defile, Despicable Dreadlord, Bloodreaver Gul'dan, Kobold Librarian, Vulgar Homunculus, Hooked Reaver, Lesser Amethyst Spellstone, Skull of the Manari, Rin the First Disciple, Voidlord. GG's to all slower warlock decks.
I could do this for all classes, maybe except warrior, but these three have shaped the meta generally, with Priest. Its going to be a brand new meta, and possibly the biggest change in HS that ever happened.
I can't wait personally. I've been having to play Priest on the Standard Ladder recently because of the sheer number of Hunters around it makes me feel dirty.
Hopefully the next expansion after the rotation will allow me to play my beloved Recruit Warrior again. Because right now it's just not happening....
I think until the first set of the new year is revealed it's hard to figure out what class tiers will be. Plus of course this year's sets will suddenly become much more relevant than they are today.
As it looks right now priest will be hit the hardest in the coming rotation if they don't receive any decent cards in the next expansion. Button tier for sure.
If you ask me priest will be unplayable in higher ladder in standard.
I'm a fan of these threads, to discuss potential damage done with the upcoming rotation, but in reality, we won't ever know what'll happen until we see the new expansion. Boomsday, Witchwood and Rumble have been way weaker than the three previous expansions, and rightfully so, but it's hard to see imagine new decks for most of us.
Some classes will have archetypes that will persist through the rotation, like Paladin and Warrior. Other classes will pretty much lose all viable archetypes right now, like Priest. They will have completely new decks, and that's hard to grasp without a look at the new cards. Personally, I would love a viable Copy/Steal Priest deck, with Chameleos and cards like Mind Vision, which tie in well with cards like Princess Talanji. Or even just full control of your enemy's minions, with Mind Control and Seance combos. It's just too early now.

Dad, husband, gamer, fueled by coffee.
Currently playing Dragon Galakrond Priest, Dragon Galakrond Warrior and Highlander Dragon Hunter.
I know its a lot early, but was just wondering what would happen if the rotation happened today:
List of key cards priest will lose in the next rotation:
Psychic Scream
Duskbreaker
Shadow Visions
Spirit Lash
Shadowreaper Anduin
Twilight's Call
Radiant Elemental
Awaken the Makers
Archbishop Benedictus
Eternal Servitude
Lesser Diamond Spellstone
And that leave us with 0 viable decks.

Objection!!!
Every class will lose core cards

Well. It does lose Reckless Flurry, Stonehill Defender and Direhorn Hatchling, which i would consider key cards for the deck.

Curious to see how it plays out for hunter. Will Zuljin still see play? The tension is palpable.
The rotation of broken DK's will improve the viability of a lot of decks, especially control warrior.
This is nothing new. Priest has the worst classic and basic set. Incredibly powerful cards from sets are the only ways that priest is ever relevant.
Zuljin would still be good enough with removals 2 animal compabion and 3 4 secrets. So as long as hunter gets 1 2 good spells it will be fine
He will comeback in tradestone with injured blademaster, healings, auchenai, yasera like in a old day i love.
But not every class will lose all their viable decks, warlock will steal got his zoo lock and odd pally will still be their a little bit.

Good.
Anduin can fuck right off with his Malygos + Velen + Mind Blast + Holy Smite BS.

Chameleos and Mind Vision do not steal anything. They copy cards.
Mind Control , Shadow Madness and Seance on the other hand do steal.
To be honest shadow vision is probably one of the cards, I am most excited about to go.
After so much time with various inner fire and otk variations, we might finally get priest a cool new identity again. That isnt combo based .
Look at what priest lost last year. It'll be alright and might be a chance to get priest cool again.
