Get on the board early and take out their spell damage. Play around AOE by keeping your 6 health dragons healthy. You may even want to sacrifice some value trades to make it happen. When presenting them with jade lightning targets, try to make them do it off curve, 4 mana cost makes it a clunky card. Try not to invest too much on a single minion to play around hex. Bookwrym/SWP should be saved for Jinyu, very early totem golems, out of reach (behind taunts or you lost board control) flametounge/troggs
As Dragon Priest, you should not be losing to Jade Shaman. You get the board (easy, because Jade shaman is "slow") and you win.
Shaman is not Slow. Turn 1 trogg, turn 2 golemn, turn 3 flame tongue or mana tide, turn 4 jade lighting. Jade claw makes 2 jades with brann for 5 mana. It just keeps going. Unless you get a god curve you are so behind even if you missed just one turn.
trogg and golem are wild next friday... Cancer combo
but im afraid of Elemental Shaman or Elemental Jade Shaman or murloc-shaman or aggro-whatever-shaman or shaman shaman shaman shaman shaman shaman shaman....just shaman
You have to get the best value out of both your AoE and your taunt minion, to stall Shaman's Jade progression. If you aren't using Twilight Guardian already, add 2 of them. If you feel like you face more control-shaman, think of maybe adding Entomb as well. Stealing White Eyes is pretty effective to counter Shaman
I feel I do better against control shaman it's the Jade midrange/aggro shaman that I find unable to beat. If I pain the totem golemn then I have poor way of dealing with flame tongue or mana tide (also pain in early term means I am not playing minions). Not to mention with feral spirit the shaman is constantly flooding the board and I'll likely be dead before turn 5 or 6 (priest aoe so expensive). As a dragon priest most of the time we are playing one minion at a time and that's very easy for Shaman to clear.
So with the cards rotating out next month, anyone feel Priest will be in a better position?

i just wondering if anyone has advice against jade Shaman.
I play dragon priest that's suppose to counter Jade decks but Shaman has so much AOE and removal spells it's hard to keep minions stick.
Jade lightning lines up so well against azure drake or blackwing corruptor
Devolve and lightning storm pretty much clears most of the board.
And if they even have 3 or more minions stick bloodlust just ends the game.
I tried reno priest, dragon, dragon reno and just cant seem to beat jade shaman. I have better win rate against druids ironically.
Shadow reno priest work for me (with 2 copies of shadowform).
This way it hard for them to build a board when u clear all their totems each turn for 0 mana
Shadow reno but no dragon? Interested in your list, and how well does it do against Jade Druid or renolock?
I am stuck in rank 5 and find it extremely hard to climb with priest

Legend with : S65 Freeze Mage, S57 Maly Gonk Druid, S57 "Okay" Shaman, S53 Boom-zooka Hunter, S53 Maly Tog Druid, S52 Wild Tog Druid ft.Blingtron, S50 Quest Rogue, S49 Dead Man's Warrior, S41 Wild Clown Fiesta Druid, S41 Hadronox Jade Druid, S40 Wild OTK Dragon Druid, S35 SMOrc Shaman, S33 Jade Druid, S22 Control Priest, S19 Control Priest
Jade Shaman variants have enough board presence and control (and burst potential) to be favored.
Ditto on shadow-reno-thun - feels a bit better.
(If only Jade Spirit was nerfed to 5 mana to give everyone more time against Jade decks...)
"Infinite" doen't mean "big" - it can be small and have no end.
