Are there decks that go against these damn secret or the pally that seem to have a million buffs by turn 5 or 6, it's insane NOTHING but paladins at the rank 10 area.
My personal take on this is their panic button removal and recently murloc knight has been a bit of a pain.

If it's the secret paladin decks, you can just play midrange hunter with flares.

I don't see many Secret Pally's, but I figure any control deck could beat it (Handlock, Control Warrior). Just play a slower deck and you can beat any aggro deck.

Been playing Hearthstone since March 2015. Avid theory crafter and card conceptualizer.
Iv'e been putting Mind Control Tech into my decks to counter pally/zoo/hunter/shaman recently. works wonders, and you could add a Blood Knight if you want to be a total sociopath.

I thought so myself until yesterday I saw a game when hunter played Flare on turn 6 just after Mysterious Challenger put 6 secrets on board. So Flare destroyed all those secrets but hunter still died two turns after. I have no idea how he could win this. Maybe with absolutely perfect early game curve he could. Seemed so helpless.
He probably only putted 5 secrets on board, since the maximum amount of secrets that you can have at one time, is 5...
Stuff like that can happen unfortunately, I just keep it in my starting hand if I have a decent curve (turn 2 and turn 3 play) so when the turn 6 comes I'll be ready while still putting pressure on my opponent.

It's amazing to see Paladin secrets to finally be a thing. They've been ridiculed for being the worst secrets for a very long time and now look at 'em, people are running them like it's Face Hunter. Well done, Blizz, well done.
That's actually probably what i'll do trow it(mind control and blood knight) in my mage deck somewhere, it's tempo. but sweet jesus. Losing tempo against secret pallies seems easy.
and the other kind i've been losing too seem to buff the shit out of each other and a lot for this 1/1's. i do my best to try and control it's but next thing i know i have 3/4 and 5/4's staring me in the face. Buff Pally i guess is what you would call it.
Mid-range paladin and mid-range hunter with flares do well against the Christmas tree Pally. If you can keep their board to 1-2 minions for first 3-4 turns, you should survive "none of your business."
While secret pally is very very annoying, it wouldn't be as bad if it wasn't for mysterious challenger. At least then the Pally would have to spend mana on getting 294587249 secrets going at once. Especially bad since secrets have no real counter except hunters with flare, or kezan mystic to steal a SINGLE secret. The fact that the combo of secrets all work together making a hit miss, kill a new spawn, buff another minion a ton, then ressurect said 2/1 new spawn, then very next turn kick everyone up +1/+1 is absurd, especially when its a 6/6 card dropping all those secrets for FREE. Paladin already had a lot of 'staying power' before, and has always been considered a top tier class with lots of playstyle options. They didn't need more ways to steamroll people. I really wish Blizzard wouldn't create effects/abilities that dont have a counter. Kezan was good enough previously. Mad scientist is even a bit OP as it is for its mana cost, but a non-legendary card that drops 5 secrets for free, with no way to counter it, is absurd. Card should at most give 3 secrets, not 5, and have a higher mana cost.

there is no limit to the amount of secrets you can have out at a time.

Players cannot have more than one copy of the same Secret active at any one time. Players are unable to play Secret cards which match one of their active Secrets.
When played directly from the hand, players can have up to 5 different Secrets active at a time. Once this limit is reached, the player will be unable to play further Secret cards.[5]Kezan Mystic also does not allow the player to exceed 5 Secrets.[6]Mysterious Challenger will not play more then 5 secrets from your deck.
As of January 2015, a bug[7] allows Mad Scientist to place additional different Secrets into play through its Deathrattle, even if this causes the number of Secrets to exceed 5.[2][8][9] Secrets beyond the 5 limit will activate and take effect normally, and in the correct order.[10]

I just saw it and posted.....god it's beyond aggravating and I can't find a counter for it at all between my mage, warlock, or shaman class.

paladins are trash as of 3 days ago. this is known.
I find my patron warrior plays quite favorably against them. You just have to play around the secrets and survive their initial rush.
Well played...

Yes there is, and it is 5.

Look under "Multiple Secrets".
Given that Mad Scientist allows more than 5 secrets it's likely that Mysterious Challenger does too.
Multiple Secrets[edit | edit source]
Nope, the Mysterious Challenger is confirmed to not brake the limit of 5.
i saw Trolden videos where people stole other classes secrets to attain more than 5.
