I am excited to show off what may be a feasible deck in Rastakhan: Fatigue Paladin. The deck works by having Hakkar, the Soulflayer die during the game; taking your opponent to fatigue through heavy control, self-heal, and stall tools; and then playing Prince Liam to transform all of your Corrupted Bloods (from Hakkar) into resources. Credit goes to RegisKillbin for realising the potential synergy between Hakkar and Liam.
Have a look at my write-up if you're interested and please let me know what you think.
I had the same idea when I saw Hakkar, normal Control Paladin always lacked a win condition and Hakkar + Liam is a really good way to finish a game (Although slow and easy to counter with Geist) Really hope to be able to play it during the new expansion.
Just not shure if control paladin is on the level of control warrior or mage. If not it´s just nice .... :-(
I personally wish for a good 2 mana paladin spell like silence and draw a card ;-). And some very good legendary control spell, preferable even, and not more then 6 mana :-).
Or maybe a 2 mana legendary spell: Call for the prince. = get liam in your hand and heal for 5 HeHe....
when you play Liam + Hakkar combo I would also include 2x Prismatic Lens . it is an additional way to destroy your own corrupted blood and sometimes it will discount hakkar to 2-6 mana. after hakkar's death use it to draw the spell via Prismatic Lens which will negate the "cast when drawn" and you redcude the manacost of a minion to (1)
Also if you want to play with Val'anyr + Lifesteal ... use Countess Ashmore and maybe Thekal to beat some other otk decks.
My current theorycraft attempt is more greedy and tries to reach late game to outvalue my opponents + Hakkar as additional finisher... I also thought about Prince Liam but atm I think he is not needed to win and kinda useless until you played Hakkar,
Including Prismatic Lens can also potentially help you killing your Hakkar in one turn (for example 4 mana Hakkar, Pyro Equallity). This could be relevant vs slow decks who run, silence/polymorph effects/return to hand effects(sap+vanish).
Killing your own minion sounds very bad ofc ,but decks like Kingsbane Rouge will keep their saps and Vanishes for very important targets.
Thats the real downside of this card right? Sadly its a Deathrattle not a Battlecry.

Yeah exactly. It being a 10 mana do nothing immediately is really quite bad. And unfortunately, though Prismatic Lens is a great idea for cheating it out and guaranteeing the deathrattle: a) look at how many resources and mana you need to spend just to do nothing to the board, b) most of the time Lens won't hit Hakkar, and c) this strategy involves your deck having to run Lens instead of better cards, lol.
I really think Hakkar could and should have been a battlecry and that this really wouldn't have put its power level up too high. Perhaps Blizzard didn't want to enable it to be played with Shudderwock + Hemet, Jungle Hunter to give your opponent a million Corrupted Bloods and removing all of yours from your deck, but that hardly seems like a broken combo (to me).
Hakkar and his deathrattle effect are easily countered by Geist or any silence/polymorph actions.
The first can't be avoided since the opponent won't have any reason to play Geist sooner than AFTER Hakkar's death, especially against paladins. So, the only solution is to wait out it's rotation in spring 2019.
The second problem can't be dealt with by paladins easily either, or at least in the same turn. Discounted Hakkar + Pyro + Equality works, but how reliable is getting a discount on Hakkar through prismatic lens?
In conclusion, I must say that there are better classes that can pull off the "Hakkar shenanigan" - druid for example (Hakkar + innervate + naturalize or just discount Hakkar with the florist) or rogue and his proc'ing deathrattle combos.

I agree that if Geist is played by your oponent and he knows to wait for that threat it´s useless. Same for polymorphs. But it´s possible to play around silence and to get it out reasonable fast. So if you play against shamans or control mage forget it ^^.

Yeah I agree - Control Paladin actually having a win condition is pretty big imo, as you say.
As long as Liam isnt your last card this will work

i wait what follows but as i played and experimented with prismatic lense a lot there might be a fun deck pending. Maybe it gets competative.
Cool idea! Thx for sharing
You could also use elise the starseeker in wild to get rid of your corrupted blood
