Shaman is coming off a high, and since the loss of some key overload and totem cards last year, has started to lose its identity in favor of the evolve gimmick. And hunter has been mid-tier for ever now.

are you lit, murloc paladin is insane right now, corridor creeper, call to arms, spiteful summoner are all insane in paladin. now if youre saying control paladin is a dead archetype, yes it pretty much is at the moment

I think its' TOO early to go on a rant about the class a 1/2 a week into the expansion.  However so far it IS disappointing that all I'm seeing is the same old murloc Pally with a few cards changed.

I totally agree with what you said, paladin is a joke. The only moment it had a competitive deck was after un'goro's release, a control paladin.

That comment is so logically self-inconsistent I'm having difficulty typing a good reply to it.

People have high win rates with Murloc Paladin. It's a competitive deck. How do you draw the conclusion from that that its players are non-Paladin mains, and how does that imply the deck can't be considered competitive?

 

The problem is that you need everything explicit to understand the discussion. The guy who started the topic already said that murlocadin is an exception, still, you guys don't read the discussion and come here just to vomit "you are wrong, end of discussion".

This is not a critical reasoning discussion, so if you don't have anything to add, don't bother replying.

With the new legendary and a divine shiled card draw buff I think control paladin card draw problem is partly sovled. my control paladin have 2 hoarders, 2 divineshiled buff, 1 call to arm and the new legendary and I sometime have less card than even the Warlock ( 2+2+3+2=9 draw)

The real problem of Control Paladin is : The class need more board clear and removals. Every one know it. For both hard removal or board clear, we need to combo 2 card, make it clunky, inconsistant, and most importantly, make us dont have enough tech card. Imagine we dont have to put Wild mancer to the list so we have two free slot to tech for example.

 

Paladin was never "not viable" and I don't think he will ever be.

I feel like there is potential in a divine shield + hand buff deck.  I have been having mild success with a midranged corpsetaker/handbuff/valynyr deck.

 I know HSReplay isn't a perfect source, but according to their data, he's in first, with a full percentage point winrate over #2, Hunter. Aggro, murloc, and dude variants all have decks above the 60% mark. I think he'll be alright

The only thing holding control/combo paladin back is really any good card draw options.  Basically everything is too slow right now, making it hard to draw the right answers/greedo combo.

I heard someone mention Call to Arms.  That may be the best deck thinning option, but I'd have to see a list?  What would you run?   Mistress of Mixtures ,  Righteous Protector , Loot Hoarder maybe a one of  Dirty Rat?

I love the addition of Zola the Gorgon and Lynessa Sunsorrow for handbuff and control decks though. Slower Paladin decks feel almost viable atm, but likely not good enough.

Im assuming this is sarcasm as paladin is INCREDIBLY good and super viable. 

Control Paladin will probably resurface with next expansion, e.g. rotation. Right now it's pretty bad against Druids and Priests.

Control Paladin may not be the best in Control matchup right now but it is very good vs aggro atm. Corridor creeper is insane in the deck becuase of the hero power , and call to arms. I can usually can play it as a 0/0 in turn 6 then steed it, make it 7/11 basically good game. Then I can follow up with Lynessa if something go wrong lolz.
