Everyone is acting like the majority of players run more than 1 silence card (if any) in all of their decks. I still don't believe that's the case. The only one we know of atm that consistently runs silence is Highlander Priest, and they only get 1 copy. If you're playing your handbuff Paladin correctly, you should be able to make him use it against any other card.
Keep in mind: Not nearly as slow as Warrior (or Druid, for that matter). I know my class got screwed over this expansion, you don't have to rub it in!
Buuuut, you got the infinite handbuff weapon. If you can't be happy about that, man, I don't know what to tell ya.
Yes it has a lot of value, but its soooooo slowwwwww.... and if they silence the buffed minion you are toast.
well technically they have to silence both minions or you still get infinite value. i think paladin got a few decent cards, but still isnt in a good place. i expect murloc paladin to still be the main paladin deck, but maybe handbuff will work if the meta slows down at all.

I'm happy about cards that directly confront or deal with the current top-tier control cards in some way.
Paladin's big weakness is hard removal of any kind.
Hard removal is everywhere.
The weapon generates value if and only if the meta shifts away from hard control decks such as jade, razakus anduin, dragon anduin, quest mage, etc. etc.

What do you mean both minions? Unless you are solely running Saronite Chain Gang and Doppelgangster it will only buff a single minion or you'll have to rely on luck for it to hit one of those in your hand...
The only new paladin deck i see making it into the meta is quest buffadin. The new legendary can't be countered very easily as they've probably used their silences and transform effects on all the previous buffed minions and galvadon.
In hunter there are literally 3 cards, that I consider being playable: Kathrena Winterwisp (but bad in a mid-range deck with a lot of cheap beasts), Cave Hydra (nice potential, but like Trump said - hunter has enough 3-drops), Wandering Monster (I personally think this secret is weak, but I know people will find a home for it). Everything else - either too clunky, too weak or to expensive.
In paladin the only weird cards for me are: Drygulch Jailor, Potion of Heroism and Level Up!. The legendaries will certainly find a home somewhere (some version of control paladin). Benevolent Djinn and Lesser Pearl Spellstone also seem to me quite useful, especially in a control/healadin deck. Unidentified Maul & Call to Arms - good early aggressive cards, just need to find the right cards to support them. Crystal Lion - wild card, I even think that a hybrid divine spirit-dude paladin would start to form there.
Scorp-o-matic has me hopeful for the NEXT expansion down the line once Jade, Raza, (probably) Ice Block all rotate and we get another un'goro-esque meta.
its not only paladin, i think rogue and Priest keep on fighting for S-Class, Mage maybe on tier 2 and rest follows far behind. Maybe Warlock will end up also being tier 2 but with Priest and Rogue both so strong i doubt it.
The rebuttal here is that there is no reason to compare the class to other classes that are weaker than you. Ultimately, you want to know what you can do to level the playing field against classes that are stronger than you.
And I don't see anything being done on that front.
Paladin got some great cards. The weapon is one of the better ones and will see play in the more greedy versions of midrange paladin. And call for arms is an extremely strong in aggro decks, you can pull out blue gills and loot hoarder etc. There's a card like this in shadowverse called "roundtable assembly" which is a 5 cost spell that pulls two, three drops and it's very strong. And I personally think unidentifed maul is highly underrated, three out of the four variants are really strong and the taunt variant can be great in some matchups. Overall, I think murloc paladin will be a very good, and maybe a new "swarm" archetype could arise.
I don't know. Call to arms is the obvious OP card given to paladin. The ability to refill the board after a wipe is pretty strong. It will also filter out the low cost cards from the deck to improve future draws.
Also the divine shield cycle card and the 7 mana 1/1 look strong enough to be playable.
Murloc paladin will most likely continue to be the aggro deck best at punishing control decks. At least that is my impression.
We'll see. Honestly, I think the KOTF midrange Pally could step in with zero additional cards and still be T2. But Lynessa Sunsorrow is a pretty solid card given how many decks play Spikeridged Steed and Blessing of Kings, and I think Potion of Heroism might be a bit underrated.
The rest, unfortunately, supports a Silver Hand Recruit archetype that probably isn't viable right now, though future expansions could make them playable.
But claiming that " paladin got dunked on this expansion?" in the title, well, how can I not interpret it as " of all the other classes out there paladin got dunked on this expansion", because you wanted to stress the attention on that class, to which please understand why I wrote that comment above.
Look, OP, I understand your frustration - the meta got really monotonous and the new expansion doesn't show any signs for any big changes. You've waited for strong and impactful cards, which would buff some of the paladin decks (or which would form new strong ones), which would make possible for this class to compete with the other popular decks (raza, tempo rogue, zoo...) and to stand better chances against them. You have the feeling, that the strong decks will get stronger, while paladin will slowly fall back, that the problems of the previous meta weren't solved, bur rather deepened.
Mmm, maybe I should stop writing. I'm not a paladin player, I don't think I understand this class at all. But I'm certainly not pessimistic about it. For me Unidentified Maul, Lesser Pearl Spellstone and even Lynessa Sunsorrow (in a some kind of control paladin) would pop up in this meta. How they can handle the old powerhouse cards, how strong priest will be, especially devastating with his Psychic Scream for all your dudes, well, that's another topic. But hey, I'm more than sure, that nerfs to that class will come eventually, so some of the paladin cards will pop up more frequently after all. Just as zoo and Tempo rogue weren't that popular before the nerfs, Keleseth was too clunky against all those explosive starts, paladin will also stay under the spotlight after the ners occur.
I really like the archetype blizzard is pushing paladin to, not sure if it will be good tho, Lynessa Sunsorrow is an awesome card, and it also support The Last Kaleidosaur, which I personally find really powerful if completed

Trick question: answer is that we got dunked pretty hard.
None of our cards can address the most powerful cards of the previous set.
Have you seen Hunter!? :D
Not just you
I eat Kingsbane rogues for breakfast.

I beg to differ - Have you seen Hunter and Shaman?
Paladin vs Hunter vs Shaman
In hunter there are literally 3 cards, that I consider being playable: Kathrena Winterwisp (but bad in a mid-range deck with a lot of cheap beasts), Cave Hydra (nice potential, but like Trump said - hunter has enough 3-drops), Wandering Monster (I personally think this secret is weak, but I know people will find a home for it). Everything else - either too clunky, too weak or to expensive.
In shaman there are 3 solid cards: Grumble, Worldshaker (although elemental shaman might not have enough support anyway), Healing Rain (nice heal), Unstable Evolution (the most obvious useful card). I think people will find some kind of usage for these "interesting" cards Lesser Sapphire Spellstone and Murmuring Elemental. The rest - too weak, too overcosted, too situational (Windshear Stormcaller). ... I don't know if Snowfury Giants shaman will ever become a thing, I know, that the overload in Crushing Hand is way too much to handle.
In paladin the only weird cards for me are: Drygulch Jailor, Potion of Heroism and Level Up!. The legendaries will certainly find a home somewhere (some version of control paladin).
