Been watching Kolento play some Murloc Paladin, and it looks really good.
I have always wanted a murloc themed deck, just not sure how good it really is and whether it will stay viable for long.
Is the card "sunkeeper tarim" essential for these decks? (just looking to cut cost if possible) If any of you guys have your own Murloc Pally decks, would be very interested in checking them out before I make a decision.
also any info regarding the validity of them in the coming meta would be great.. should I hold off crafting such a deck until the new meta? I would just really like to make a new deck to play other than my keleseth-lock... would keleseth rogue possibly be a better investment? (it's cheaper, but less fun IMO by the looks of things.)
Well it would be helpful if you'd send a list that you're currently using or would like to use and we could discuss alternative options. Obviously sunkeeper tarim is an incredible legendary but its not as "essential" as rockpool hunter or vilefin inquisitor

thanks. this is the deck I was considering crafting. It would cost me 7920 as I have never played paladin before, so need most of the cards. I only currently have just over 6k dust, but I can just save for it or look if I have any cards I can dust.
You don't know what sunkeeper tarim is used for. I cant help you.
sorry, I know what it's used for, I just meant is it very important for the deck.. sorry for misunderstanding.
I was simply trying to work out if anything could be cut from kolento's deck to keep the cost down a little as it would cost me over 7k dust to craft.
Sunkeeper just might be the best legendary in the set. I'd advise you craft it regardless.
thanks dude.. so maybe fordring is more disposable? I would like to craft the entire thing tbh, but just wondering if I'd be better off going with a version of tempo rogue as I have a lot more of the cards and would only cost me around 5k dust (the murloc deck looks so much more fun to play for me though, so I don't mind spending the dust really.. I was just really wondering whether it will be worth crafting so close to new expansion, and whether these cards would still be useful then. I guess it's hard to know what the meta will be like really at this point)

Sunkeeper > Fordring. I don't know what decklist you're working with, but Stonehill Defenders are a fine poor man's substitute for Paladin taunt legendaries.

I linked the deck in the description.
I'm starting to think working on a dragon priest deck might be a better idea though, as I have a feeling it will only get stronger in the meta paradigm shift over the next 2 months and beyond.
If you're about to use all your dust to craft murloc paladin I'd highly recommend saving it for the next standard rotation. But in terms of the deck, sunkeeper and tirion are not essential so you can swap them for, I'd say, Cobalt scalebanes

Tarim is an insane legendary that will be on every paladin deck until t rotates out and then will be on every wild deck, it's both a huge offensive generator and defensive tool under the correct circumstances so it's an absolute must craft if you plan on playing paladin at all. Tirion is orobably the best legendary from the classic set and he will never rotate out so again if you plan to play paladin he's a staple in 98% of paladin decks but for this very specific arhetype you can do fine without tirion, in that case I would also drop the consecration and add The Curator and a Cobalt scalebane but 100% craft tarim, he can make a shitty board of 1/1 little mrlocs into a decent army of 3/3s or make some huge minion into a small 3/3 so youcan trade comfortably.

thanks dude, I will most likely save my dust until the new cards come out then. I know this is the best move, but the murloc paladin just looks like so much fun (murlocs are my favourite from warcraft lore as well) I hope we can make a murloc deck next meta though as will go with it then.

thanks. also it looks like silverhand decks are going to be a thing in the next meta, so those legendaries are probs worth crafting. I reckon I will save the dust for a few weeks at least though till new cards are out. I do have the 50 x pre order as well, but I could get trash drops and not getting anything I can do anything with, so probably the smartest move.
I wanted a quick ladder climb this season and took it to rank 9 pretty easily without any of those legendaries and only one Gentle Megasaur. The substitutions I made were two Coldlight Seers, one Nesting Roc (felt like I needed another beast draw for Curator) and Uther of the Ebon Blade (doesn't fit in all that well, admittedly, but I opened it and wanted to play it. 15 damage isn't too shabby, though).
I also dropped a Vilefin Inquisitor and a Grimscale Chum for two Crazed Alchemists. I can't imagine playing without those; there are so many uses for it: clearing Doomsayers and totems; creating favorable trades on big taunt minions; stifling card draw from Northshire Cleric and Acolyte of Pain; and even as a finisher if you have a big Spikeridged Steed minion or a buffed up Murloc with high health.

this is the deck I was thinking about crafting
BUMP (is this in the right section?)

I want to think Murloc Pally will continue to be strong but man, Duskbreaker is gonna wreck its early game.
Everything "looks really good" with Kolento lul

Aw. Came here cause I saw "Murlock" and I thought someone devised a way to implement Seadevil Stinger. Baited! XD
In all seriousness, cool thread :3
Will use the card with love
I'm not online, it's just your imagination
