I recently opened a golden The Last Kaleidosaur from a pack, and I almost dusted it. Instead, I wanted to see if I could make a viable deck with it. Here's what I came up with:
Works surprisingly well...most of the time. Comments and critiques welcome.
Gilblin Stalker ? I would call you f2p but you have The Voraxx. I also wonder about the weapon, because i feel that with the weapon a Fjola Lightbane would work as well. And where is the Toshley ?
I over all think that the quest isnt that bad...once the "meta" goes over to wild we will see a lot more of it. The GTG buff girls are great, but its hard to balace the deck. A Dinosize on a Fjola Lightbane or maybe a The Voraxx or Djinni of Zephyrs (over a heropower token) should be fun.
I also played that windfury beast 1drop with Blessing of Wisdom back in the day... confused the hell out of people
While I feel pretty strongly that The Last Kaleidosaur is fundamentally not worth the expense (One less card in mulligan, slower opening, inconsistent performance and easily countered nature with it being predictable and telegraphed), I love seeing decks like this built around the concept. Seeing cards like Eydis Darkbane and The Voraxx make me super happy, and this seems like a hella fun deck to play around with. Whether it's viable or really works at the higher end of the ladder, I'm skeptical about, but I'm pretty certain it'd feel really good to get some wins with. :)
I thought so at first, too, but I play Gilblin Stalker as a sleeper, and attack after I've buffed it a couple of times. I was thinking about replacing it with Argent Horserider for faster play/divine shield synergy.
If you think of any other 2 drops other than Gilblin Stalker, Haunted Creeper seems fine. If the opponent kills it, you'll have 2 more minions to buff.
You also have no minions to play on turn 1 and no AoE to comeback. Argent Squire maybe? It has synergy with Rallying Blade as well.

No Brann Bronzebeard for the x10 adapt on the Kaleidosaur? Feel like your missing out on some fun.
cool deck! nice to see something fun come out of that quest.
Ibn Fahd.

I know this deck isn't necessarily viable, but I still have a lot of fun playing it.
