honestly, this deck could be a lot better :/ it looks like you just took some random aggro tools and some pirate tools and mashed them together. I urge you to try the deck more since I can't fathom this working well when there are so many better cards than wolf rider and you're not making a budget deck.
Why Spiked Hogrider? 5/5 for 5 mana is bad, also if enemy have taunt and you activate battlecry is still bad imho...
even some late game bombs like tirion or rag fits better.
Also im not sure about this list overall, power in aggro shaman or pirate warrior lies in their acces to viable, early weapons (1/3 hook and spirit claws, fiery war axe)
Also what rank and wr?
Overall if deck is fun to play,is most important thing.
Hogrider is a tech vs both Renolock and Jade Druid. I tried this card and like it a lot. It's cheap and often usable. In worse case it's just 5/5 for 5 mana and could help you keep pressure.
Tirion is not really an option because with this deck you want to be as fast as you can (but you will still have good weapon synergy if you'll add him). Ragnaros is way too slow. Actually this deck consist only of 5-mana or cheap minions and you want to spam your fast minions and buffs into opponent's face as fast as you can and refill your hand with Divine Favor. Because of this you don't want to hold expensive minion in your hand.
Yes, this deck is not for high-level ranked play for sure, it need more playtesting and refining. But I have a lot of fun with it yet, it's why I share it. So try it, test it, modify it, and share your experience with it.

Probably yes, it needs refining, so if you have ideas how to improve it, feel free to share them.
Wolfrider is essential because it's face deck and you want to pressure opponent's face with maximum tempo. Basically it's '3 mana deals 3 damage' minion, and you can also buff him, so it's even better sometimes.
EDIT:
About your list. You have only 1-2 mana minions in the deck and it's not enough to keep pressure in middle game. Grimestreet Outfitter and whole hand-buff theme is pure tempo loss also, and you can't afford to lose tempo at all with Aggro Paladin. Same thing with Small-Time Recruits. If you even have enough mana and empty hand in order to cast S-T R - 1 mana minions are useless at that stage of the game and the game is alreasy lost.

And forgot to mention, while Aggro Shaman and Pirate Warrior have better weapons and Pirate synegry, Pirate Paladin has an advantage with card draw. So with this deck you can beat Renolock even after Reno was played. You simply play your stuff, go face, refill your hand with Divine Favor, flood board wth your stuff again, and continue to attack until you have cards in the deck. So at least in some match-ups it's better.
Pirate Warrior, Pirate Rogue, Pirate Shaman and now, Pirate Paladin.
What's next, Pirate Hunter?
Pirate Priest w/ Shadowbomber and Mind Blast. You've got some solid draw, some burst with Auchenai, some great weapons you can get from Thoughtsteal... >.>
Today in my free brawl pack I got Barongeddon, then I had a cup of fresh green tea. As a result of that, I think Priest is OP because my keyboard is not a mechanical one. I hope Blizzard will address this issue.

I would like to note that the two decks listed so far in this thread can be considered entirely different decks, and that both should be refined individually with no assumptions applied from one to the other.

Exactly. Deck themes are completely different. My approach was to adapt Pirate theme to classic Buffadin, while KitsuneRTC deck focused on making Goon hand-buff theme, Paladin card draw and Pirates work together.

I actually think that Spiked Hogrider makes sense in this kind of pally since it intrinsically struggles with taunt. Even a simple Feral Spirit or Mirror Image would fuck up the favourable trades. (or right now jade behemoth)
The quality of the deck and the individual cards is far worse than aggro shaman. It's like a mix of zoo and face hunter without a hero power, neither of which are good atm.

Aggro Shaman struggles with card draw, this deck does not until you able to draw yours Divine Favors. Real issue for this deck is aggro match-ups. But against Control and Jade it is doing things.
It's similar with Zoo by gameplay, but more face-focused. And Zoolock has no access to weapons, pirates and Patches. And to big buffs what makes your minions stay on board forever. Buffed Dragon Egg is real pain for a lot of opponents.
Yes, Face Hunter has hero power, but with this deck you have no time to waste on hero power. You should use all tempo available to put pressure on board, and even if you forced to use hero power, Paladin's one is good enough for this deck, with a lot of buff spells available and Keeper of Uldaman. And Face Hunter has toubles with card draw too.
So in comparison with other aggro decks they focused on doing maximum damage quickly, then they out of gas and stop. This deck has a little worse synergy between cards, but can put constant pressure on slow decks due to strong hand refill ability. And it often happens that when first wave of attack parried by control/jade deck you can refill your hand and finish the job with second wave.
One Truesilver Champion swapped with Argent Lance for better curve. In Aggro match-ups it's often even 2/3. And it's better for small pirates in the deck.
Spiked Hogrider has to go, in match-ups where he needed the deck still has an advantage, but in fast match-ups it's burden. To passing big taunts one Equality added instead. 9 of 17 minions in the deck has 1 hp anyway.
I played more then 100 games, match-ups (preliminary data because lack of experience with the deck, probably could be better):
Druid - 50%
Hunter - 100% (8-0), it's not this deck is that good, but Hunter is that bad, I know
Mage - 90% (8-1), same as Hunter
Paladin - 70%, majority of Paladins trying to make hand buffs work, very slow decks, easy to contest
Priest - 50%
Rogue - 80%, Rogue is not fast enough, no taunts, no heal, easy victim, I outpunched 10/10 Van'Cleef once
Shaman - 40%, Maelstrom Portal destroying 1-hp board, Hex counters BoK, a lot of taunts and heal in slow lists
Warlock - 70%, if Renolock has no explosive start with his early minions and removal, it's easy match-up
Warrior - 30%, he is faster
Now I have some experience with the deck, so I'm going to collect more serious data later this month if I willn't be too lazy.
vs rogue it's 50/50 (it's either rogue is too slow and unable to defend or he took the board and it's over)
Equality was not very good, tried some other options, atm playing with Consecration instead (good vs Shaman, but looks like vs fast Shamans match-up is hard to win anyway).
While this deck is not good choice for ladder I think it's possible to use in in tournaments to target slow decks, because with any format with bans either Shaman or Warrior has to be banned, but no one will ban Paladin for sure.
I will play at least 100 games at Legend level and will publish complete stats later.
OK, it's over. It was too boring to finish 100 games with it, I ended it with 20-25, 44% win rate. Winrate against Pirate Warrior and Aggro Shaman is around zero, so in Aggro-matchup this deck can do nothing. Usually you're dead pretty quickly with your Divine Favors in hand. Against slow decks it's working well, but... Aggro Shaman is better.
EDIT: I finished with 2 Uldamans version, it's better then other teches I tried. In future, swapping remaining Truesilver with second Lance also could be better. So this deck is not 100% refined still. Who knows, may be in next season I will continue to experiment with it.

SMOrc warr and shaman are probably most common decks on ladder,if they beat the shit out of you..laddering is just tiring af.
Imho currently any pala archetype is not competetive, maybe in next meta with rotation.
if they add a real 2 and 3 drop yeah. they only have situation 3 drops and no 2 drops except a buffer.

Played it a little on Legend level.

Thinking about replacing it with second Keeper of Uldaman, Seal of Champions or even Defender of Argus.
