Not true at all. Im currently 9-2 with my control dragon paladin. Karazhan has just been released and youre already making such statements instead trying to make a deck of your own. Thats why i dont truly support community sites like hearthpwn. Everyone just sits and wait for some1 to build an OP deck instead tryin to make something of your own. But i guess its because 90% people in the world cant think for themselves :)
OP, I am pretty sure you used "impotent" incorrectly.
I think Rogue is currently the weakest class. It has a bad matchup against two of the most popular decks - dragon warrior and aggro shaman. Paladin is still at least a suitable counter to these decks.
Those are impressive stats, if you ask me. Note that even aggro shaman vs miracle rogue isn't more than 64%, so these are pretty good win rates.
Secret Paladin loses to Zoo (39%), but those have almost vanished since Kharazhan. Hunter, Warrior and Shaman (in that order) makes up 50% of the meta, which is good for this archetype.
Before the formats were introduced, Paladin was probably the strongest class thanks to Mysterious Challenger. People seem to quickly forget how much everyone was moaning about how broken and OP it was. Now people just moan about Shaman.
Paladin isn't in the best spot right now but that's OK. Each class will have their turn in the spotlight and right now it's Thrall's turn. When BRM, TGT and LoE rotate out Shaman will lose a lot of what makes them so strong and they'll probably be a bit weak for a while.

What is all this nonsense here? Anyfin Pala is a Top Deck with high Success in recent tournaments like truesilver recently.
If you want to win with Paladin dont play this useless slow greed n Zoth decks and stop making dragon paladin a thing. There is no good early game Dragon card in this game.
It's not too bad man and nightbane is actually suprisingly strong in control paladin.
I've been playing recently with a N'Zoth / Dragon paladin that is reasonably good. Much better at playing for the board than standard heavy control paladin and with Alexsrasza after Tirion it can actually apply some serious pressure to most decks.
Either way it's super fun and that's the main thing right? :)

I feel like Secret Paladin is actually a pretty decent deck. Played it to rank 4 (not trying for legend). It wrecks Warrior and Hunter, and is slightly favored against Shaman, all of which are very popular right now.
FWIW - Vicious Syndicate has been tracking the deck since rotation. It's consistently near the top of Tier 2, and occasionally Tier 1.
Nightbane Templar is a REALLY good card, just the right deck is not there for it yet.
I don't know about Nightbane Templar... IF you're holding a dragon it's a slightly better Razorfen Hunter which sees how much play? Aldor Peacekeeper is a million times better and if you want another 3 drop go for Harvest Golem.

Switch to control paladin and use cards like Aldor Peacekeeper, Keeper of Uldaman, Humility, Equality, and Wild Pyromancer. See how fast you can make an Aggro Shaman or Zoolock Concede,
I dont play zoo or aggro shaman but thos humility, aldor+kodo, equality pyro/consec, are more cancerous than that 2 deck together no matter how much i hate them either. You must be really shameless to play that
You're going to need to provide the example if you think it is incorrect. I've just checked oxford and cannot understand your point.
"he was seized with an impotent anger"
He was unable to take effective action in regard to his anger.
and here's another example:
Yet it happened, and he felt helpless, powerless, and impotent.
There's nothing in addition there. The literal meaning of impotent is powerless or lacking in power which is exactly the meaning the OP intended. With the evidence of these two examples it also appears that the OPs use was correct. If you can provide sufficient evidence to prove me incorrect I would be delighted to learn something new about the use of the word impotent but so far you have failed to do so.

He felt impotent in regard to what had "happened".
In addition, the example also mentions "powerless" and helpless". Wouldn't it be redundant to include them if impotent was synonymous?

Try again lol.
You have a point tho. Rogue was the only class my paladin decks could beat up on recently. Lol.
Midrange Shaman - 54.5% (Slightly favored)
Hybrid Hunter - 59% (Favored)
Midrange Hunter - 60% (Favored)
Control Warrior - 61% (Favored)
Dragon Warrior - 56% (Favored)
C'Thun Warrior - 48% (Slightly unfavored)

Missing lethal since June 2015.

Oh wow, "my class is the worst class" thread again.

It's one of the worse one's in Standard, but not in ''the game'', if you wanna see a lot of Uthers just go into wild.... :D

So, the second class in the game to get a zoo deck is somehow "dumpster" now?
Okay.
