I just had so much fun playing a control Pala deck.
For me the tempo in the game has been significantly reduced. I am so glad that minions/cards like haunted creeper, madscientist, shredder and druid combo have been removed.
I was using this deck I made and it was entirely too much fun. most recently fought a cthun deck who was able to call back cthun after i killed it and had it in ready to go next turn for lethal(he had entered fatigue). because i had 2 minons out on the board i was able to go face with them, then my truesilver sword, hero power to get two recruits for the activator, then finish with gormok.
I ran Harvest golem but he didnt had a good impact but yes you could run him. The Cult Apothecary i a great stalling option when opponent tries to flood the board with totems or 1/1s. I think cairne wont be doing anything because of the stats.
A Light in the Darkness has a small synergy with the pyro but the main reason is , i have not many low cost cards so lets say on turn 5 i can play aldor and A Light in the Darkness. This card can give u exactly what you need for the MU but also many bad minions with +1/+1 getting alot better (mostly the low cost ones) and are actually pretty good. i played once a Thrallmar Farseer turn 3 and that put a lot of pressure. just try it i couldn believe myself.
I'm running my old anyfin control deck basically card for card, but took out the murlocs for death rattle minions + N,Zoth. I was stunned to see how well it worked.
I want to try it with dragons when I get home tonight.
My initial thought when it was first released was, "2 mana is too costly to Discover, why not just include the minion you want in your deck."
I've tried it out since then, and it is a fun card, I love Discover, but it still feels questionable. Shifter Zerus seems like he offers almost the same thing but better.
I could see a one of in Reno Paladin since you can't run doubles so you have a chance at a 2nd Aldor, Uldaman, or Legendary. Other than that, feels bad to pay 2 mana for a 1/1 buff. Not that much better than pushing out a 1/1 dude for 2 mana.
SO many legendaries! I think the cheapest of the decks some of you listed would cost me 3200 dust. Largest was over 6000! I seem to have about 1/2 of what's needed in legendaries for this type of deck so I probably won't go there.

i had so much success with A Light in the Darkness and Eadric the Pure those cards would have never been played in Wild. I think Paladin is sooo gooooood now with cards like Forbidden Healing and Ragnaros, Lightlord heavily destroying and punishing those face attacking players.
What are your experience with control Paladin?

Of all the things I've lost in life, I think I'll miss my mind the most.

wow thank you for the many responses and great ideas my mind is flowing with ideas to build and improve my decks.
I am glad you have also so much fun.

Heres my C'Thun Reno Paladin, still missing some cards so i cant test it, but seems really good:
Is A Light in the Darkness really that useful?

I refined my deck
Have you tried the new Weapon with 2 Keepers of Uldaman? is soo strong in the early and later stages of the game.
