After Eaglehorn Bow and Gladiator's Longbow in classic, Hunter only ever received one new weapon, in GvG. Now that Glaivezooka is rotating out, we're not getting any? Really? Instead there is only a 3 mana 2/5 no text beast filler card?
Its weird that they seem to want to push a control meta but don't give rogue and hunter, two classes they reaaally seem to want to push into control the weapons to do so. Now I know weapons can go face but just about as easily as creatures and the tendency to trade one weapon for multiple creatures makes them invaluable in control.
Maybe I'm just sick of eagle horn bow dealing 12 damage to me over 4 turns. And no, I did not say weapons = aggro. In fact, weapons help control the board very well, however, when you put a strong weapon in hunter, it instinctively becomes aggressive, simply because Hunter is an aggro class with an aggro hero power.
Your original post was condescending, don't be surprised if that comes straight back at you.
First of all, aggro is one of 3 main TCG deck play styles. The HS community needs to get over that annoying habit of complaining about everything that's not a minion-focused midrange deck.
Second, if weapons are aggro only, why the hell is Control Warrior running 4 or even 5 of them.
The fact is, right now Hunter has a 3 mana and 7 mana weapon in standard. That leaves huge gaps. Why didn't hunter get a decent 5 mana weapon? I'm okay with pushing Deathrattle hunter as a new archetype (after Feign Death rotated out...), so why not a 5-mana weapon that works in some way with Deathrattle minions?

I honestly did not have the intention to be condescending but you cannot hear my tone through the internet. For that, I will apologize. However, I disagree with your comparison of Hunters to Control warriors. Hunters can deal 2 damage to face every turn for 2 mana, Control warriors can't. Weapons have charge, yes? They can be used the moment they are played. This, coupled with other damage spells like KC/quickshot can add up to an insane amount of damage in just a couple of turns.
I would agree with your idea on the 5 mana deathrattle weapon, thus, I am happy we are losing the more aggressive weapons like Glaivezooka. I've personally enjoyed playing with Feign Death Hunter Decks, so yes, Blizzard should have done something about this.

Hey Team 5, what's up with that!?
RIP aggro hunters. Thank god.

i think there is no weapon for Rogue as well.
Hunter get no forbidden card, so as rogue, would have been interesting 'what if' this 2 class have their own forbidden spell / minion.

So yeah why no weapons?
Why am I sticky?
