It seems like the Nerf's didnt affect OTK Druid, Togwaggle Druid, etc......there gameplan of armor up and stall and ramp is the same. they just do ramping 1 turn later which doesnt seem to make a difference at all. At least with Control and slower matchups. I dont play Aggro so maybe they have a better chance vs Druid?
Great difference. Now e.g a decent midrange deck can beat them before they are 4 mana ahead.
This nerf lowers the power level as it worsens some matchups (while definitely not improving other matchups). Your argument that not much changes against control is like saying a nerf of fireball from 4 to 5 mana does not have an effect as tempo mage is still highly favored against quest rogue.
Good points. They can ramp just as quick but they can’t get as much value on the board in the same time.
What could happen (no coin) was t1 pass t2 wg t3 oak summons t4 nourish hero power and by t7 they had 10 mana. T5 they could do an 8 drop t6 maybe oakheart 9 mana.
Now they t1 pass, t2 hp, t3 wg, t4 oak sun & waste 1 mana t5 nourish & hp t6 9 drop T7 10 mana. Less stuff on board and still a 9 and 10 mana play t6 and 7. An 8 drop less on the board and 1 more opportunity for hero power.
Of course there are other scenarios if more ramp in hand.
Against a placid opponent (control) ramping is just as quick against Agro they are more exposed. Sprite is an alternative to wg but doesn’t give card draw like wg at t10 but is expensive card draw for 3 mana
Yeah - I think Druid might actually still be fine (obvious struggles against Hunter, but that's not uncommon right now). People have just moved away from it so fast that almost no one is trying it.
I don't think Druids have been fine for a long time. There are some quality of life changes that could be made to help them though...
For instance, when they nerfed the Force of Nature + Savage Roar combo, they made Force of Nature essentially worthless. Now that RUSH is an option they should re-instate the Force of Nature to have Rush not Charge and I think it would at least be able to help with board clear and make the card have some value again.
Kibler has been having some moderate success with a Taunt Aggro Druid, which could be interesting if it finds an aggressive niche that isn't occupied by odd paladin or the secret/midrange hunters
Druid is still super powerful against control as it always was and can still out armor several otk decks, but it definitely struggles more against aggro and mid-range decks since it does take longer to ramp into the druid game plan. Plus most everyone expects the auctioneer build on ladder right now so there is some element of surprise that works to your advantage.
Druid has many overpriced cards. Their price was based on Innervate making 2 mana, Wild Growth being 2 and Nourish being 5. Their price hasn't been adjusted. Lots of overpriced stuff, and hard to win with any of it.

ofc they do the same thing. Point is they do it slower, which means they have worse matchups against fast decks.
Obviously a full control deck won't beat them any better. That'S how it should be.
I tried having fun once. It was awful.
exactly. not much difference to their power level.

Time will tell how this plays out
Not all druids were otk/toggwaggle either. Pretty much nerfed the entire class and multiple archetypes into the ground. So no, they're not fine.
~40% win rate and 3% popularity.
Not a deck even in Tier 3.
It's fine, for sure.
I been running da undertaker taunt druid with no wild growths and still 2 nourish and its working out great.
Add me Csa #1811 for regular games, deck testing games, or custom rules to just have fun games.
Token druid is still good

Just a thought.
Demon I am and face I peel

Token druid was the only deck that has ever got me to legend! I quit playing it after the nerfs.
Is it still good? I would think not because of the Priest Infested Meta...…

for me using the druid cards is hard :(( the power splits and also you have to use a taunt card for support. :(((
