I've been playing some taunt druid today (new version) and it felt pretty damn good.
Some matchups went badly for example, while in others I felt like there was no way I could lose.
So that got me wondering, is there a way for this deck to lose vs Warrior, Hunter or Rogue? I can't see any of the archetypes in any of those classes actually beating this deck.
nice netdeck, thats what i think lol. ive seen that on streams, namely Firebat and he even used Tyrantus tho he said running it aint that much productive but it synergizes well with Oondasta
i've been using something similar (Tyrantus over Malfurion the Pestilent because it's a Beast for Oondasta, a 10-drop for Juicy Psychmelon and it doesn't make Hadronox weaker). It's fun and strong deck, but obviously has a lot of weakness similar to old Taunt Druid. Mage with Skulking Geist and Polymorph seems impossible to beat, unless you get a very fast Oondasta off and SMOrc win. Similarly, any Shaman Hex is annoying, and you lose to fast OTK decks like Mecha'thun Priest. Kingsbane Rogue should also beats this, with Sap/ Vanish being very strong for the match-up. Could be Tier 3 or 2 maybe.

Yeah I saw the list and decided to cut tyrantus and zilliax and run grizzlies instead. I did quite a lot of experimenting with other decks these last days but nothing felt good enough, so I decided to have a go at this new version of the archetype.
It's hardly unbeatable, a well curved Kingsbane decks beats it just fine, and it's definitely weak against control mage.
Tbh I find the quest variant to be much more aggressive and hard to deal with, since it just draws/armors and drops lethal on the board and says deal with it. Even if you have removal or a vanish you're still going to deal with 30 damage refill. There's no easy way to deal with it. Even double brawl most likely leaves a board with 30+ dmaage and a couple LKs.
And @ DMH_Meta it's been 4 days since release. Can't call anything netdecking yet nor does everyone watch twitch, why even respond? You even state the streamer you use as an example plays different cards...

Yeah, that's why I reduced it to Warrior, Hunter and Rogue, the others have some tricks up their sleeves.
Regarding kingsbane rogue, I fought one and won, although I agree that the outcome could have been different as we were both unfamiliar with the matchup. Regarding sap and vanish, it seemed to me like they can't really afford to hold on to them all that much.
wasn't that always Taunt Druid's thing? Any deck that can't rush it down or counter it via Polymorph effects loses to it.
Idk, with the previous version it seemed like warriors had at least a bit of a chance if if hey could manage their silences, hard removal and AoE, but not with this version (at least to me).
Also, I think hunter could beat the previous version just fine, but I'm not sure about the current one

What about hunter and warrior? I just don't see a way for any of their archetypes to beat this new version, which I think was different with the previous one.
Regarding kingsbane, I'm not sure. I just fought one and won, and despite none of us knowing the matchup and both drawing and playing quite well, it seemed to me like a ton of things would have to go really good for the rogue for him to win. Maybe I'm wrong
I assure you, it can lose. You realize that matchbot cycles between good and bad matchups to give you a feeling of invincibility followed by a feeling of futility, right?

I know it can lose, my point was, how can some classes even beat it?
For example, what warrior deck could beat this deck? I can't think of any, can't even see a slight chance

and Peter Whalen put chemicals in your packs to turn your freakin' Krag'wa gay, right?

This is the version I'm using, for reference:
What do you think?

Any thoughts on the actual topic?

I tried having fun once. It was awful.
