So I played around with Spiteful Summoners a LOT when the exp came out. Okay, this deck I made has been insane for me. I'm currently hovering around the ranks of 3-1 playtesting and I've been astonished. I got motivated by a couple of pros with their brief appearances working on this archetype and I decided to go a different route with mine and optimize it and bring my own flavor as well.\
Zola has so many beefy targets and Twig works exceptionally well in a combo situation or/and with the DK giving you 4 attack over a couple of turns. I've done the Ixlid into Leeroy into last attack with Twig on turn 10, into Zola on Leeroy and Leeroy again for a bunch of damage too.
There are a couple of flex spots, namely: Lich King and Druid of the Claw. I'm currently trying to playtest as much as I possibly can while still sticking to my legend run. Any feedback, ideas and basically any touch upon the flex spots would be awesome too!
This is an interesting looking deck, and I will give it a try on the ladder to see how it performs.
It has been performing tremendously for me. I'm currently working on isolating a couple of matchups where possible to determine if I need the second spellbreaker and lich king. Once you have insight on those as well, let me know cause it's way faster for me to optimize the deck this way.
To anyone else out there currently trying it out, feel free to give your insight on my current list of flex spots:
Lich King
Spellbreaker
that's about it LOL.
Everything else in there is bonkers for now and compliments the deck in multiple ways.
You don't draw the 2 UI before play Spiteful often? I made a similar deck and run x2 6 manas Portal for avoid this and give healing to the deck and I put Medivh instead Lich King to break the legendary weapon faster.
I had medivh up to half an hour ago but am really inbetween lich king and medivh. No I dont draw them often but even if I do, I have set it up with plenty of tempo plays and win conditions that it might not even matter at that point in the game.
Looks like a cool deck. Definitely worth a try. Do you not find it sometimes gets overwhelmed by aggro? Basically have you tested with spreading plague?
I realise it dilutes the power of spiteful summoners but one would argue a 6 drop with another free 6 drop is still good value and you add in a layer of protection against aggro or simply buy a bit more time.
What I've noticed is most of them can't keep up with what we're putting out, unless you get bad draws of course. However, I am definitely considering spreading plague. Will have to playtest a bit more to see how that works out because currently, what we can end up cutting is the second spellbreaker and lich king. I really find it hard to cut anything other than those two in my deck. Zola can probably be cut but damn, she is..sweet.
Nevertheless, very good point about the spreading plague! Will be back with more input over the weekend for sure.
Also worth pointing out. I'm finding it extremely difficult to pinpoint what's more important, LIch KIng or Medivh. Breaking the weapon earlier is sweet for sure, but honestly I'm not sure. It can definitely be crazy with combos and ultimate infestation. Another aspect to it is, Lich king can give you a lot of crap and fill your hand, thus making it harder to actually ultimate infestation without having to burn cards.

Just been reading through all the other comments and I think I'm gonna try your deck but take out lich king, 1 spellbreaker and 1 mire keeper. In it's place I will add 1 spreading plague 1 moonglade portal and medivh because the other guys comment on breaking your twig early is pretty decent and excellent value.
Yep, I already put Medivh in as I originally had him there too, just took it out for a bit to play around with Lich King(not worth it). Let me know how it goes with the other two changes! :) I'm not really fond of the portal and taking out Mire Keeper because essentially you're dropping ramp and diluting your spell pool at the same time. I'm however keen on seeing how spreading plague works out and I will update the deck so long as the changes work out for most of us! :)
Interesting deck...will give it a try...the big question is how well does it do against the tier 1 decks in this order if you don't mind:
Fking Highlander priest.......Cubelock, Tempo Dragon, Aggro Pally, Tempo Rogue
Priest can get overrun really fast by this. Specifically post buff. So far I haven't lost to a priest. Tempo rogue is yet to be determined. Aggro pally can be problematic without Plague (which a couple of people are currently trying to implement, so we shall see). Pure control Warlock is gg, they can't keep up and if you can silence the right things and develop tempo time and time again, they die..fast. If it gets to them playing N'zoth though, it can get messy. Cubelock is hard to determine as well, I beat 2 so far by silencing lackey and voidlord and then Ixlid into Leeroy for final bursts, but I need more data.
I got overrun by aggro pally once or twice too, so as you can see many different matchups I have to take into account and without more data, I can't quite tell you yet.
It's a bit early to be very conclusive, will have more info on those matchups over the weekend.
How has your deck been performing on the ladder, CVision1? :)
It's been good. I've been playing Big Spell mage and the Tempo Druid at rank 2. Not much progress though (not that I'm trying that much since my last legend grind). But some matchups such as control warlock and the tempo priest can be hard if you get bad draws.
People have been smashing that like button heh, so it's been working for them as well I hope. Like I said, any feedback/improvements are very welcome.

Looks like a fun deck. Going to give it a try and keep an eye out to see if you make any changes/ideas. Thanks for "putting it out there".
You are most very welcome sir!

I'm leaning towards Medivh at this point.
