So how did I came up with this deck because it looks a bit weird? Actually I was looking for a deck where I could place the cheapest 5-attack minions in a deck to complete the quest as fast as possible. Cheap minions with a high attack usually have a drawback. King Mukla gives your opponent 2 bananas, Hoarding Dragon gives your opponent 2 coins and Coldlight Oracle (not a 5 attack card but card draw is needed once you have played Barnabus) gives you 2 cards but your opponent too. Than I thought, hey: these cards can be drawn by The Curator. The Curator is a card with taunt, but Deathlord is a taunt minion with a drawback: Maybe I should add Hadronoxand find some more taunt minions. I kept puzzling some more and came up with a deck where it's all about: Barnabus the Stomper, The Curator, Hadronox and N'Zoth, the Corruptor with a surprise milling technique.
So I tried to create a fun deck with a lot of synergies:
There are 7 taunt minions (fits the Board perfectly if you play Hadronox before N'Zoth): 2x Deathlord, 2x Evil Heckler, 1x Chillmaw, 1x The Curator and 1x The Lich King and also whatever minions are summoned by Spreading Plague (unfortunately these are not so good to be resummoned by Hadronox).
- Card draw: 2x Coldlight Oracle, 1x The Curator, 1x Ultimate Infestation (it also summons a 5/5 Ghoul which is good for your quest, but this is really really a card you wanna play after you have played Barnabus because the minions drawn will cost 0 mana). The best way is to keep the Curator in hand until you have played Barnabus because if you play the Curator you will draw a free Coldlight Oracle of which you can draw (hopefully) 2 more free big minions.
- Milling Mechanics: there are some cards that I've put in this deck which were really great in "fatigue druid". These cards are 2x Dancing Swords, 2x Coldlight Oracle 2x Naturalize, 2x Deathlord, 1x King Mukla and 2x Hoarding Dragon. These cards hopefully disrupt any combo's your opponent wants to play. To support this mechanic I have added The Darkness. This card works so good in this deck because you keep milling your opponent. Making him draw cards with Naturalize, Coldlight Oracle and Dancing Swords and in the mean time thinning opponents deck with Deathlord and if you are lucky Death Grip (from LK).
- AoE. The only cards to effect the board are: 2x Swipe, and potential 1x Chillmaw.
- Secret Keycard for this deck. Then there is 1 card I have been keeping from you and that is: Prince Keleseth. It is the only 2 cost card in the deck. The ideal play is turn 1 quest, turn 2 Prince Keleseth turn 3 a 5/5 Dancing Swords. This is a great card in this deck because it makes the drawback of many cards almost irrelevant. It also gives you 3 more potential 5-attack minions for your quest (2x Dancing Swords will be a 5/5 and The Curator will be a 5/7).
This card is also the reason why I called this deck: Backfire Druid This deck needs the prince because all these cards with drawbacks can backfire and cost you the game. Cards with a drawback (or a potential positive effect for opponent) are: 2x Naturalize, 2x Deathlord, 2x Coldlight Oracle, 2x Dancing Swords, 1x King Mukla, 2x Hungry Dragon, 1x The Beast, 1x Chillmaw (because it could also damages friendly minions).
- Death Knight cards. The Lich King is in the deck to combo with Hadronox These Death Knight cards will have a great effect. Hopefully you will get Death Grip (to thin out opponents deck a bit more), Army of the Dead, Anti-Magic Shell or Death and Decay. All others are ok except Doom Pact because main goal is filling your own board with big minions.
MULLIGAN GUIDE:
Mulligan for Prince Keleseth and keep the Quest in your hand. All 3 and 4 minions are great except for the Murlocs. Dream mulligan:
HOW TO PLAY:
The 3 and 4 mana cards are very important in this deck. They will make sure you are able to complete the quest quickly. Opponent will try to deal with all your big 5 attack minions. The key is to keep going for the face so opponent has to deal with them. In the mean time if you see you are able to burn some cards by playing for instance a Mukla - Naturalize combo, just go for it. For defense you can even play a Hadronox - Naturalize (on Hadronox) combo and fill your board with taunt minions. N'Zoth is just fun to fill your board again with big minions.
It is just very important to keep Coldlight Oracle - The Curator and Ultimate Infestation until after you have played Barnabus!!
UPDATE: Have been playing and updating this deck for over a year and a half now. Each time an expansion comes I change it: added Harbringer Celestia (haven't seen it elsewhere but does a great job in here), 2 Branching Paths and The Lich King for: - 1 countess ashmore and - 2 muck hunters and - 1 the darkness.

THE 4 PACKAGES:
Barnabus, The Stomper package:
There are 15 cards to support the quest (minions with 5 attack or more): 1x Elder Longneck, 1x King Mukla, 2x Evil Heckler (one of my favorite cards), 2x Cursed Disciple (this card actually made this deck soooooo much better, it really is a must!), 2x Hoarding Dragon x2 The Beast, 1x Chillmaw 1x Malorne [/card]x1 [card]The Lich King and 1x N'Zoth, the Corruptor (but you actually want to play this after you played Barnabus the Stomper.
The Curator package:
5 beasts: 1x Elder Longneck, 1x King Mukla, 1x The Beast, 1x Hadronox 1x Malorne.
2 murlocs: Coldlight Oracle.
3 Dragons: 1x Chillmaw Hoarding Dragon x2
Hadronox package:
There are 7 taunt minions (fits the Board perfectly if you play Hadronox before N'Zoth): 2x Deathlord, 2x Evil Heckler, 1x Chillmaw, 1x The Curator and 1x The Lich King and also whatever minions are summoned by Spreading Plague (unfortunately these are not so good to be resummoned by Hadronox).
N'Zoth, The Corruptor package:
There are 10 cards with a Deathrattle effect. 2x Dancing Swords, 2x Deathlord, 1x The Beast, 1x Chillmaw 1x Hadronox and 1x Malorne 2x Hoarding Dragon.

Somehow this deck is doing very well against all sorts of tier 1+2 decks now. Just beaten Razakus Priest and Cubelock a couple of times in a row now:
When Big Priest mind controls your Hadronox, LOOOOLLLL:
Yeah, I just conceded. I had no answer to this.
As you van see by his health, i was actually doing pretty well until that point. Hahaha ...
UPDATE: I replaced 5 cards making the deck stronger then before and changed the guide a bit.
I removed: - 1 Elder Longneck, -1 Spreading Plague, -1 Malorne, -1 The Beast and -1 The Lich King.
I added: 2x Witching Hour (will either summon King Mukla or Hadronox) 2 Muck Hunter and Countess Ashmore
Guess who had hit my face at the end of the turn? Anyway, pretty happy with my board, would have won if RNG-sus was on my side this game ....
