Everyone including me was hyped about the new Beast Druid and how strong he will be after Karazhan, but then all I see is theorycraft and not a refined competitive deck yet. And nobody even speaks about that deck anymore, Did it turn out to be bad or not as good as other Druid archetypes ?
It reminds me of N'Zoth Paladin when WOTG came out, Would it be a short lived deck too ?
It's an ok deck. I think everyone tried it, and some are trying other decks (like burglar rogue). Once everything is tried a refine list will make its way to mid/bottom of tier two
I'm a scrub player (currently rank 12) but I've been doing really well with a list with 2x Azure Drakeand The Curator. I dropped Finley though; I might put him back in but Druid hero power is pretty good really. I'm running Ravens now to deal with faster decks, but I had a list with Cenarius before that could really turn things around late game.
I've been waiting for a viable beast-focused druid deck for a long time, and I was really expecting Karazhan to make beast druid great. As others already said, the deck runs out of steam too easily, and if the opponent boardclears, you're pretty much screwed.
Look, I want to tell you something because you're very dear to me. And I hope you understand that it comes from the bottom of my damaged, damaged heart. You are the finest piece of ass I've ever had and I don't care who knows it. I am so glad that I got to roam those hillsides.
I still see it a lot on ladder. The problem it has is that it blows it's load early and doesn't have a way to replenish itself. If the opponent has an answer to the board it's easy to beat. A wild pyro/equality or early doomsayer(s) will wreck their day. It's also a brainless face deck.
For what it's worth, TempoStorm shows it as being the top of tier 2.
Not to bash you personally, but I feel like TempoStorm's meta snapshots has been losing relevance ever since the VS Data Reaper Report became a regular occurrence - their subjective opinions matter less than hard evidence though pure data IMHO.
On the topic of Beast Druid: I tried out a variant of it after Menagerie Warden was released using The Curator and Azure Drake. It was alright, but honestly kind of boring and inconsistent in my limited experience with it. Plus it seemed to get wrecked hard versus aggro.
Anybody tried beast dragon druid? I think the deck might work better with card draw and azure drakes and the curator with finley, haven't had time to build a deck though.
I agree that it's not overly relevant, which is why I prefaced it with "for what it's worth". I hadn't heard of VS Data Reaper, though, so thanks for that!

It's inconsistent and your hand fizzles out too early.
It's a SMOrc deck with 0 draws.
Someone (eventually) may optimize it to be more midrange-y which is what I think it needs.
But people see 1 mana 2/2, 2 mana +2/+2 and draw a card = turn 2 4/4 and go face.
heavy depend on starting hand. Bad version of hunter because druid hero power is weak compare to hunter and don't have call of the win
It will end up being in low Tier 2 / high Tier 3 deck IMO
It met Mr. Aggro Shaman.

i think because no card draw :/
i think token druid better than beast druid
It was getting destroyed by aggro decks. It's a good deck, but better in a different meta.

The end is coming!
People figured out it's not good.

Thanks for not bashing personally :)

it dies miserably to aggro shamman and zoo, people went back to warrior or stayed with yogg druid to coounter warrior.
It's not a good deck, if you have perfect hand than its OK otherwise it runs out of steam early.
It's bad. Trust me I would know xD.
