JustJustap like the thread name suggests, do you think i should replace 1 shieldmaidan with trueheart in my dragon and wallet warrior?
And one more thing, ireally have high curve on my warrior with 3 dragons that cost 9 and no 1 drops. If i win every joust, do you think the new improved sunwalker could replace a shield maidan.
I have a Justicar Trueheart reserved to be crafted for control warrior. Having double the armor for hero power just appeals to me especially for the long game.
i guess shield maiden is much cheaper 5 mana for 5 armor instant, otherwise 8 mana for 4 armor and a 6:3 body is weaker than 5:3 i guess..
lol you're not making any sense^^ Shieldmaiden is 6 mana 5/5, not a 5 mana 5/3 :P
I think Justicar fits if you have a deck that is likely to run into the really late game, sometimes even fatique, like Control Warrior tend to do. You'll need to use your Hero Power at least 3 times after having played Justicar to make it give you 1 extra armor in total and the 6/3 body is of course quite a lot weaker than the 5/5, so I'd say you should at least have consistently 4 uses of Hero Power after Justicar to make it better than Shieldmaiden, meaning the deck must be super late game focused to make it worth the trade out.

What is Hearthstone to you? A fun and semi-competitive game with wacky effects and crazy RNG outcomes or just a card game you wanna grind as many wins you can get as fast as possible in?
Guys... Justicar is 6 mana.. So same cost and fill the same rule, only one need 2.5 turns of hero power to do so, but reward you with much more later on. espacially in fatigue games which i do a lot of.

The question is, who is better?
Who is better depends on the deck you are considering to use it in.
If your deck consistently goes like 20+ turns then Justicar is better, but if your deck usually end the game before T12 I'd say Shieldmaiden is better.
If it's somewhere in between it's very hard to tell, I guess I wouldn't go through the trouble of crafting Justicar in that case, maybe try it out if you pull it from a pack though.

IMHO Justicar will see good amount of play, from an overall perspective she is very good for Control Warrior, which will even on agro matches, have extended survivability. think its a good replacement for 1 SM, but maybe there will be more valuable changes to be done on WW as well, so you may have more survivability minions such a antique heal bot, joust mechanics miniosn and Varian in the end ...
The Warior decks will evolve, and dragon wariosr will get the more changes.
Fun times are coming :D

(sorry for any missssssspels - not a native english speaker + fat fingers)
The Problem I have with Justicar Trueheart is just what is her purpose? Is she built to fight aggro? If so then her 6/3 body will absolutely destroy her as she dies to Leper Gnome and a Knife Juggler ping. With that body he seems more fit for aggro at least in my opinion, the problem is she is a 6 drop which is absolutely crap for Aggro as they hardly ever play anything beyond a 5 drop. So for a cost like that is he really good against Control Decks? Not really, his hero power buffs aren't that significant for any aggro classes. Paladin gets 2 1/1s definitely good but not worth a 6/3 body to slow. Hunter only gets a 1 damage increase hardly worth it. Warlock gets to tap without getting damage to them hardly good for aggro. Also there is the fact that Priest and Warrior are the ones benefitting the most from him and they are predominatly Control Classes maybe Midrange if your pushing it.
Thus I conclude that he is probably best in a Midrange drop as one of the final 3-4 big drops which usually rank from 5-7 in mana cost. So maybe Midrange Hunter and Midrange Paladin can find a place for him. While Midrange Hunter is probably a no, I suspect Justicar is probably good in Midrange Paladin. Even then I can see why she could be good in Midrange Hunter you never know and who knows maybe she can push Control Hunter with Steamwheedle Sniper
The obvious synergy that comes to mind however is Control Warrior with guaranteed 4 damage Shield Slam where she seems to fit fairly well. Even then she barely does seem to fit as the pay off requires 2.5 turns to get going. I would replace one of Shield Maiden with her in a midrange to control meta that is for certain and depending on how good the card is in action against Aggro decks I might consider keeping her over the other Shield Maiden period. Here is to hoping she is a good card.
Shieldmaiden is an instant effect which combos with Shield Slam and helps stave off the face decks. How sad are you going to be when you play Justicar and she dies to a Darkbomb/Frostbolt/Quickshot etc...
If Justicar's stats were reversed I think it'd be a much better card, but that's like, just my opinion man.
Alright I gotta ask this. Ever since this card was revealed, I've heard this discussion. And every time I always hear "you need to hero power 3 times to break even/gain value over Shieldmaiden". Wouldn't you just need to hero power twice since 8 armor > 6 armor. Or is it just general consensus that a 5/5 is worth about 6 armor more than a 6/3?

Our hero power already gives us 2 armor so if we are talking about amount of armor we are only receiving 2 armor more forJusticar Trueheart on our first try. On 2nd hero power we have netted 4 armor. By turn 3 we have netted 6 armor, 1 more than what we would have from Shield Maiden and thus it takes 2.5 turns to get the same armor value as the famous Shield Maiden. Hope that helps!

Just wanted to add that netting 1 extra armor over 3 turns doesn't make Justicar better IMO, mostly considering the weak body and somewhat considering the immediate armor boost will usually be better. So to make Justicar better than Shieldmaiden I'd argue you have to use your Hero Power at least 4 times after playing it.

Well true that. you also need to take into account what Shieldmaiden/Justicar dies to. If the opp is big minion heavy and you did 6 dmg with Justicar, then it's slightly better. but if you die to a Leper Gnome and ping from the Knife Juggle ... you need plenty of hero powers to make up for it. So it seems that Justicar is only good against a control deck, and Shieldmaiden is much better an aggro meta.
All said, the current analysis assumes that there are no further cards for warrior that lets you hero power more than once a turn/trigger hero powers (which will make it better in the long run.)
Warrior is a class that can lose even with what seems like infinite armor. I think justicar is a great card, that will see a lot of play, just not so sure it's needed at all in warrior. You already have a good chance to win the matchups that this replacement would in theory be good against.
Justicar is probably the one card that makes me want to dabble in constructed again, after becoming a arena player, since I'll almost never get a chance to draft it otherwise.
You're also forgetting that Justicar is neutral and can be used in all class decks, as far as using the dust to craft VS other legendarys. Control warrior is all about the late game. Playing VS aggro is you can live and stabilize the board this will only help you further stay alive. In control matches this card could be the difference in wining with all the armor gain. Also, Justicar will trade with belcher, shredder, etc despite the low health.

haha man, you´re right. i screwed that one up. xD
2nd mistake was typo, first 1 just dumbness :D

Guys?
I thought this is a great topic to discuss.
Tgt will bring us new deck options, but some decks only need a bit editing, and wouldnt want to waste 1600 dust just to see shieldmaidan is better...
I think shieldmaiden shieldslam is to powerfull. I wont pay 1600 dust for trueheart

Yea..shieldmaidan is better vs agro decks, but i think it would be hard to beat a warrior with trueheart with a control or combo deck.

Unbowed. Unbent. Unbroken.
Just throwing this in for discussion's sake. Is there any argument for running Shield Maiden x2 and Justicar?
