Except Warlock has more ways to buff Floating Watcher than his hero ability, thus making it a better card.
True, however some hero powers are more frequently used than life tap, in the upcoming TGT xpac with Garrison Commander and Coldarra Drake, it's pretty ideal.
It wrecks in tavern brawl (which is super slow), so I suspect it'll do just fine in the slightly slower battlefield (compared to constructed) that is arena.
Pretty good card. Awesome in arena. Might see constructed play. Effect is much better than people think. People bring up bgh, but it can't actually be bghed untill it has been buffed twice, in which case it has attacked for at least 8 damage. Main weakness is that it is easy to remove before the first buff.
And to the person who thinks that +2/+2 for 2 mana "sucks": It's +2/+2 and hero power for two mana without spending a card. Which is pretty awesome value.

floating watcher powercreep
No, because 2/2 stats are not worth 2 mana. it will always suck for its mana cost, no matter how much you grow it.

Looks good. Would work in a lot of classes.
This card will be amazing in arena.
