if ur playing a deck that revolves solely around the existence of one card- and at that a spell-, sorry to say but u can get countered too. Just because u don't throw a minion liek tirion on the board to get hexed doesn't mean u don't deserve to have a counter for your buffs :)

While that might be the case, EU'G is typically a bad card. I've thought for the longest time that Choose Your Path should be a 0 mana card anyway. It's uncertain what you get with each Discover, which is what makes the card generally a bad card. Because your deck is filled with 1 mana Discover spell cards, you already devalue the Discover. Auctioneer will only give a person so much useful draw anyway. The issue is someone who wants to play a fun card like EU'G is instantly pushed away from a card they really enjoy because of this card being printed. It's not even that big a deal to make Choose Your Path cost 0 because if EU'G was any good in the first place, people would be using it more. The card is hardly used, and could use the 0 mana token spell treatment. It's a good change to a card that is overlooked by most everyone currently.
But this infinite value already occurs on jade druid and miracle rogue, so at the very least It will happen on a just for fun deck that has zero chance of flooding the meta.
It won't, not by much at least, because you would draw, then Discover. You can only draw so much with Auctioneer as it is. Because you're Discovering with every cast of Choose Your Path, you're not guaranteed anything good. As it is, the card (Explore Un'Goro) sees hardly any play. Making Choose Your Path 0 mana wouldn't see many people deciding to play Explore Un'Goro purposely. It wouldn't change much, really, and making your deck one that's full of "Discover a card" effects brings the power level of your deck down dramatically. A 0 mana change to the card will not sway too many to play Auctioneer in Warrior suddenly, I promise.

if ur playing a deck that revolves solely around the existence of one card- and at that a spell-, sorry to say but u can get countered too. Just because u don't throw a minion liek tirion on the board to get hexed doesn't mean u don't deserve to have a counter for your buffs :)
I really ought to start putting disclaimers on every post I make.
I am NOT saying that these decks rely 100% on one card. I am saying that a lot of their strength comes from specific cards, and by not having access to them, are weakened. I am NOT saying that decks shouldn't/don't deserve a counter.

Certain cards completely destroy certain decks, that is not a reason to change those cards.
If you play Dirty Rat and I'm a Quest Mage, the moment you pull my Antonidas, I lost the game. Is it fair? Well I guess yes, even though it feels terrible to lose like that. Same will happen with Skulking Geist and Explore Un'Goro. It makes it impossible for you to win, much like losing Antonidas makes it impossible for me to win... There's really no reason to change Explore Un'Goro, for that they would need to also change Jade Idol, since once you play Skulking Geist, it makes it basically impossible for the Druid to win, they also lost their win condition, just like you lost the Explore Un'Goro win condition and I lost my Antonidas win condition.
Skulking Geist is a good Tech Card, it's stated appropriately so that it will take proper consideration for players to include them in their deck, meaning they get a weak card in other matchups, it's a trade-off they make to get a great advantage against Jade Druids for example. Since it's badly stated, it's unlikely to see much play unless Jade Druids are extremely popular, so you don't even need to worry.
Also one important aspect, you will see that most players are much more likely to come and cry to the forums about X and Y cards rather than going to their collection and putting Tech cards to help them win games, so it's even less likely the card will see play, it is a good Tech Card appropriately stated.
This is on a whole new level, though. We're talking about a single tech card... erasing an entire deck. This is nowhere near the same thing. You can take Antonidas from a Mage and the Mage can still kill you. You can't counter or come back from having 20 cards (give or take) destroyed instantly. This is nowhere near comparable to Dirty Rat getting a lucky pull. This is taking your opponent's deck off of the table, throwing it across the room and telling your opponent "Deal with it, you fucking loser."

let me know when the meta is flooded with explore un'goro decks then maybe you'll have a case. obviously blizzard wouldn't have printed the geist if they thought it would completely wreck all the wonderful meta explore un'goro decks being run out there but of course that reality doesn't exist so......they aren't gonna change a thing.

Explore Un'Goro isn't fun, play Renounce, that's where the fun is at.
For me the problem is not explore un'goro, but skulking geist though, I hate cards like that and I think they shouldn't exist.
