So, now that the mean streets era is almost over, it's interesting to go back and look at what cards in the set ended up being playable.
Definition of playable - Used in a tier 1/2 deck or very popular deck (like Jade Druid, which is batting under .500 but is still the 2nd most popular deck...)
Warrior: Nothing, as Gadgetzan cards are only used in control warrior which is not viable
Neutral: Mistress of Mixtures Patches the pirate Small time Buccaneer (no longer playable) Dirty Rat Kabal Courier Jade Spirit Kazakus Naga Corsair Burgly Bully Finja the Flying Star Second Rate Bruiser Aya Blackpaw
So overall I count 33 cards (32 after small time was made unplayable) that were useful during the mean streets meta. About 1/4th of the set was playable. 6 of the 20 legendaries saw play
You forgot White Eyes for Control Shaman. So with 6 cards, Shaman got the best class cards, again...
EDIT: Also, I've noticed some decklists are using Madam Goya, which is also listed on Tempo Storm's Control Shaman's decklist. So that makes two additional legendaries playable in this set (for now at least).

Control Shaman is under .500 and is represented by ~ 1% of decks. Not really viable.

Oh I assumed you were using Tempo Storm's tier list. They listed Control Shaman in upper half of tier 2, higher than Reno Mage, Tempo Mage, Zoolock, and Miracle Rogue. Also, where did you get those stats?

Tempo storm is awful. Last time I looked there their aggro shaman list included elemental destruction. That alone is enough to make me never take anything they post seriously.
From what I've seen a lot of the highly upvoted decks here are shit and unfit for constructed.
A lot of decks posted online everywhere are shit. You need to be able to evaluate/tweak a deck for yourself. Strictly copying netdecks will only get you so far.
I mean, if you're using vS Data Reaper for your data to back up your numbers... Control Shaman is one of the lists they're actually quite a fan of. So it's pretty disingenuous to state it's "non-viable". Remember when Reno Mage was only 2% of the meta and then became arguably the best deck in the format? Pepperidge Farm remembers.
Control Warrior is still seeing competitive play, it's viable. Amusingly also in the vS write-up about how people were placing high on the ladder with it because it's good against a set of the top decks. Sometimes you have to dig a little deeper than Tier lists, there are contexts where Control Warrior is extremely strong and players who are having success with it.
I agree with most of the list, but I think this is just one of those evaluations where everything is pidgeonholed into a black and white tier-1-or-bust kind of assessment. The game really hasn't existed in that state for most of the expansion, where people called good decks bad based on those numbers and wound up eating crow.

What will be really interesting is which MSoG cards are NOW playable in the new year of the Mammoth. I'm betting quite a few will now become playable.

What's your point? How many cards were playable for each expansion really since GvG?

What's the best place to get good decks then if you're a person like me who doesn't know the first thing about creating them?
