They want to make game more interactive and move to hall of fame conceal etc. And we saw most of the ungoro cards and there is no single card with charge! I think they are going to they good way and maybe they will move Leroy to wild
there's nothing 'good' about blizzard moving cards. it's just incompetence incarnate. they're removing every tactic, every strategy, every tool you have to win games, instead of that giving you idiotic mechanics like Jade and Elementals that even a braindead newbie would understand. instead of removing Charge and destroying decks like OTK Worgen and such, they should have given us answers to such decks. you try running OTK Worgen against Dirty Rat and Sludge Belcher now, it wouldn't work, and that's how the freaking game should be!
it's so ridiculous, Blizz is all up in arms how we should be solving the meta, finally and eventually they admit that they're wrong months later (when the competitive scene gets threatened) and then proceed to remove cards and people applaud this circus approach...
Expensive charges like Leeroy and King Krush are perfectly fine. It's no different than a high-damage spell.
There is one big difference : Chargers have some kind of counterplay (taunt, Dirty Rat, too much life to threathen lethal) while high damage spells have way more utility (targeting minions).
Blizzard has been clear in the past, they don't want spells to interact with charge to make crazy uninteractive gameplay.

Well, truth be told. If a company removes cards, they admit, that they are unable to balance out the game. This is the reason why the standard rotation happend in the first place.
in general most card games need a system like formats once enough expansions have been added to avoid several issues like powercreep and limited design space
I understand that. But the formats happend way ahead of time.
Did they? I'm starting to question that. Note that formats aren't meant to BALANCE games. They are meant to stop stagnation so that they don't have to go the power creep route.
So i's not them moving sylvanas to wild that's a sign of bad design, but what they did with small time buccaneer.
Not taking away your mainn point. Just putting the focus on the right examples.

Well, my point was that large charge minions are not a balance problem, so thanks for supporting my case?

I think you're complaining about something else entirely? This is about charge.... not the simplification of Hearthstone. Also, the reason they are moving the neutral cards to wild is because everything else was compared to them and if a card wasn't equal or stronger, it saw little to no play.
As to the OP, moving Leeroy Jenkins to wild would probably hurt the meta once Thaurissan rotates out. It would get rid of even more avenues of burst, which would make control decks more overwhelming and could actually choke the meta.

They said they would print new charge minions, but with specific conditions like the pigs in MSOG
I read about this as well. I also believe they may create charge that can't attack heroes, Icehowl was an experiment but was overcosted at 9 mana. We need some in the 3-6 mana range.

Spiked Hogrider is actually really great in buff Paladin decks(Ive dropped a 10/10 Hogrider that gains charge, and then use my 6/2 Leroy to remove the taunt and go face with the piggy), its the deck that sucks.

Leeroy is needed in Standard because he is only finisher available for classes without good burst spells.

55/135 isn't most of the cards, but I agree that we're rather unlikely to see many charge cards in the future.

One does not simply walk into Mordor,
unless they want to be the best they can be.

Well we are going to see adapting minions with stealth and windfury so the interaction stays low.
That's Incredible!
