The card is not bad, but dies to any AoE effect. I'm playing it in a divine shield palladin deck I found in this webpage and works well so far. If Moroes has divine shield, u can have a lot of minions if the game lasts enough.
yes, that's what i thought and it's probably the only deck that works well.and it's not only the divine shields.it's the keepers and blessing of kings,so i'm suprised this cards doesn't see almost any play.
My divine zoo actually works much better without him. You have to take care of him, that's the problem and e.g. an Argent Protector's battlecry might be better on another pally minion.
I just played Worgen Warrior against this Divine Shield Paladin. Of course, he lost badly, but I do see some potential there. It's just that my deck had all AoE removal with Pyro. But I'd like to give Moroes a try. You'll run into some horrible matchups, of course, but that's life. Since Paladin is beyond bad in Standard, IMO, more variety will certainly help. I like your deck, will upvote.

You are surprised that this card doesn't see almost any play even though it's only viable in 1 deck, and the deck isn't played much. How can you be surprised?
yeah, i was suprised because it wasn't even enough try to make this card work.usually this doesn't happen to the new adventure cards

i saw a deck like that while watching kolento's stream the other day. it built up a lot of value with all the shields, but even then it was only doing like 6-7 damage a turn with full board. maybe the guy just didnt draw well or it needs some refinement, but it seems really weak in the sense that it needs like 8-10 turns to set up a full board and by that point aggro and midrange will kill you, and you're usually playing right into a control decks game plan, especially since paladin/priest run pyromancers and warrior has brawl/revenge/geddon/whirlwind/ghoul.
An aggro deck with a conditional turn t3-t4 play, often dependent on a particular card to either be in hand or be played... doesn't seem like a good idea.
I've been testing him in some fun concept decks and can say he does really shine in certain combos that are very unusual.
The only class I'm consistently losing to is freeze Mage. The other classes that sometimes shut down the concept are paladin or warrior but not for the aoe damage as you'd likely suspect.
I need some more cards from kharazan and to refine mid game stabilization but he's certainly not useless, just not useful in the current meta.

Control warrior is a suprisingly not that bad match up.Brawl isn't that insane vs that kind of decks cause they refill the board the next turn and ghoul, most likely will not clear the board, because of the divines shields or more than 1 attack minions.Divine favours also get insane value and help a lot

It happens all the time actually. I remember Trump trying so hard to make Anub'ar Ambusher work before he eventually declared it too bad to work. Some people actually tried ot get Avenge and Void Caller to get going right after Naxx before eventually giving up (Caller required BRM to finally kick in while Avenge onlycame into focus with Challenger).
MANY people tried to get dragons to work after BRM was released only to realize that it was lacking too much to be effective (it took TGT to finally get the type working in priest). That's an entire archetype, and the mai ntheme of an adventure, that fell flat.
There's always cards that everyone knows sucks and does suck (Stoneskin Gargoyle, Majordomo). If anything Moroes finding SOME kind of place to at least try to be successful is a good sign for him. NO ONE found a way to even TRY to use Gargoyle (at least Domo is just fun and silly).
Yeah I remember my brother killing his opponents on turn 1 or something back then while I was still playing my green/red aggro elf and lightning ball haha. Good times.
The appropriate basis for comparison is Shade of Naxxramas. Both give you 1/1 in stats per turn. Both have Stealth. Moroes gives value faster, but it doesn't have Stealth so your opponent can interact; fair tradeoff. But Moroes is 1/1 base stats while Shade is 2/2. If Moroes was 2/2, he'd probably be just about as playable as Shade, and get fully wiped by most of the same responses (Consecrate, etc); he'd probably see about as much play as Shade did.

What about Stoneskin Gargoyle in a Hobgoblin deck?

No it's not. It's too slow vs aggro(90% of meta) and instand dies against control warrior(yeeeay control viability :'D continues to cry in the corner).
So it's a dead turn card. You can win with Monroes in your deck but you won't win because of him.

Think outside the box and have some fun!
One does not simply walk into Mordor,
unless they want to be the best they can be.
@Mars_Cariocecus Your profile picture is a MTG card but I can't remember its name, can you enlighten me please?

Underrated, maybe. Not tier 1, certainly.
