I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying the new expansion so far, but every single deck seems to be C'Thun.
I realize, yes, we are all trying out the new legendary and the synergies, and yes, eventually new decks will come forward as top decks, but is anyone else *not* playing C'Thun and trying some really fun, or off the wall, or Shaman, decks?
I was fortunate enough to get Hallazeal in one of my packs, so I guess that's why I'm not playing C'Thun decks... otherwise just seems like a C'Thun race coinflip, not much fun in that from my perspective.
I pulled a golden N'zoth, so I'm tinkering around with a deathrattle hunter deck and I'm actually having a lot of fun and success with it. I don't expect it to be competitive in the long run, but I'm enjoying it for now.
As far as C'Thun is concerned, I feel like the card is really interesting, but the decks built around it are boring. Too many of them are aggressively statted with flat +x/+x to C'Thun which just makes games feel very vanilla until C'Thun hits the board. That being said, with it being so prevalent right now it's very easy to play around, which may account for the success I'm having with my fun decks, so I don't mind that.
Yeah. C'Thun decks are (generally) boring and uncreative. Not to mention how awful it feels when a Warrior has no cards in hand on turn 10 and topdecks C'Thun to clear your board. It's not that hard to beat but I wish people woild try something else.
C'thun Reno Lock would like to have a chat with you all.
Yeah, I've seen some cool C'Thun decks out there which is why I said they're only generally boring and uncreative. The Druid deck in particular is incredibly predictable and boring. I haven't checked any decks posted yet, but I'm assuming that's where all these identical decks are coming from.
For me there's no problem with C'thun Decks, i use one with Fandral (Druid), its a mix of Choose One and C'thun buff type's and its fun to see my Fandral work xD, but all i've seen lately was Aggro Shaman, and i dont see lot of people complaining about it
Yea, I'm not saying it's a hard deck to beat (except some of the crazy taunt-filled druid versions), but I just see Beckoner of Evil on turn 2 and just think "oh great, here we go again".. and long comes the stream of vanilla C'Thun minions for the next 15 minutes.
More of a visual annoyance for me, not an issue of gameplay... I'm enjoying the games overall.
I am experimenting with a Shaman dragon evolution deck and having a blast. Haven't tried C'thun yet but it seems that that's all I am facing currently.
Mostly I'm just getting tired of C'thun v. C'thun matchups. Solid minion trading, sure, but, sort of like in Arena, when someone gets board control they tend to keep it, then the matchup just becomes a race to draw C'thun and either flip the board or close out the game. Gets really tedious after a while. Especially the Druid matchup, but that might have something to do with the fact that something like 8 in the last 10 of those have involved Turn 1 Innervate Twilight Elder into Turn 2 Wild Growth into a continuing spiral of madness. Can't blame them for that though, that's the class flavor, and they lose if you take the board away.
I've really loved how most C'thun v. non-C'thun matchups play out, at least with my C'thun Priest. Lot of fun board interaction, flavorful animation, big heals and swings. Shaman has been really fun to match up against, even though I tend to lose control of the board pretty quickly, and midrange and aggro Hunters have both been really interesting matchups.
Well it makes sense considering the best neutrals are mostly C'thun cultists! Also C'thun being the most impactful 10 drop. It's either that or obvious faceroll Shaman.
I'm currently playing C'thun Warrior as the 10 Armour buffs are really useful for surviving C'thun, as well as having cheap hard removal to get back in the game. C'thun Priest isn't a bad choice either, but since losing Lightbomb it makes beating Midrange decks a little bit harder.
The C'Thun cards are just a shell, like the mech shell in GvG - it comes part and parcel with the expansion. Once the mettle settles down, I think that it will be played in a similar way to Mech Decks, in that some classes will be favored to play the shell, others will be merely adequate and some will not play C'Thun at all. Just relax and enjoy the chaos for the next few weeks.

Not sick of playing against C'Thun decks yet, but found I don't care for playing them myself except for a Rogue version that only runs Disciple of C'Thun and Blade of C'Thun for buffs. (Plays like Miracle)
I enjoy being matched against cthun decks while I'm playing my new version of zoolock which somehow is doing quite well (streaked 6 or 7 games now at rank 5) I don't even let them play cthun because by turn 7/8 they are done. Cthun is too slow.

you better enjoy this everyone is playing c'thun atm, because in two weeks standard will be ran by Face is the place decks.
edit: you can come to that realization after playing for a couple of hours, those 10 mana legendaries may have sweet effects but with almost no effective defensive cards in the meta and with aggro barely taking any hit there's just no point in playing contro or c'thunl., except maybe control warrior and c'thun warrior

Played 10 games so far and i have seen him only once, it's a shame because i made a Axe Flinger/ Grim Patron deck with Hogger, Doom of Elwynn to counter it.
Rank 12 and 11 here.

Been haveing more fun playing around with making PW:Hentai Priest, The Mistcaller Shaman, and Shadowcaster + Nightblade Tempo Rogue work.
I'm the best worst player.
