It's not a good deck yet, but when it works, it is the ultimate dream crushing deck. It is useless against agro, but will work against control decks that like to keep big hands until the mid game.
The purpose of the deck is to use early game removal to keep the board under control while collecting the pieces of your combo. The deck only has six minions, so hitting the Elven Minstrel combo is almost guaranteed to pull the minions you want or at least pull the second Minstrel.
Try to hold onto your hand until you can get a good Miracle Turn off your Auctioneer. This will usually draw the cards you need. One of the goals is to get your deck as small as possible, before triggering the Togwaggle combo.
Your goal is not to mill your opponent, but to mill yourself. Do not lose your Oracles, as they are crucial to winning the game. Only play an Oracle if you can Shadow Step or Vanish it back into your hand. Cheat Death can also get it back into your hand. But you want to discount your Oracles to one mana and then hold onto them.
The combo turn you're looking for usually starts at around turn nine. Your goal is to play Togwaggle while your opponent's hand is full and your deck is small. If your opponent has ten cards, the Ransom card will be burned and they will be stuck with your small crappy deck with no win conditions. Look for:
- Opponent has 9 cards:
- Sap + Togwaggle
- Opponent has 8 cards:
- Sap + Prep + Sap + Togwaggle
- Discounted Oracle + Togwaggle
- Oracle + Coin + Togwaggle
- Opponent has 7 cards:
- Discounted Oracle + Prep + Sap + Togwaggle
- Oracle + Prep + Sap + Coin + Togwaggle
- Opponent has 6 cards:
- Discounted Oracle + Shadow Step + Discounted Oracle + Togwaggle
- 2x Discounted Oracle + Togwaggle
- Opponent has a full board
- Prep + Vanish + Coin + Togwaggle
If you can pull it off, it's usually smooth sailing if you have a reasonable life total. Use your remaining cards to stall and mill your opponent and of course have fun with whatever cards they've given you. The deck is definitely a work in progress. I think Valeera of the Hollow or maybe a second Evasion could help, so I'm still experimenting.
So memey . . . I got it to work successfully once but I find that there are only so many matchups that it's possible to win against. Warrior = bad (too much armour), aggro = bad (you just die) etc.
What about +DK - Cheat Death
Because I think saving coldlight isn't much important in this deck.
Maybe DK would be more effective with vs control match
Or +DK - shadow strike
Though it is still too weak to aggro deck
how about tar creeper?
Hi, I came up with same idea as soon as I saw Toggwagle xD Supercool deck to play with, I think it's very difficult to master. Hard to ladder, but I believe on higher ranks it can have decent success.
Also, I run Rogue DK in the deck, so that if i have a possibility to Togg faster, like 10 cards left in my deck, I usually do. Than DK passive gives value you need to survive till your opponent is left with nothing but remains of drawing deck.
Another diff is I play two eviscerates instead of weapon. Weapon is so not cool to draw while miracle auctioneering, prep + eviscerate is much more efficient. The Immune effect isn't that important, since you won't fatigue yourself if you don't mess up.
Overally, great deck, great to see somebody also likes playing someting innovating!
Unfortunately, I don't have Valeera DK. But I can definitely see that she would be a great addition to the deck. I keep the Shadowblades in case I need to go regular Mill Rogue as an alternative win condition. If I see an opponent outdrawing me, there's the option of playing the Coldlights at the end and then Vanishing them back. Next turn, you can play the Shadowblade and both Oracles to get a huge fatigue advantage. But I'm going to try swapping one of the blades out for an eviscerate.
Thus far, though, the deck is still hopeless against agro decks like Spell Hunter and Token Paladin, both of which are very common on the ladder starting in the mid teens.
FOR THE MEMES!
Such a cool deck , Success on first try tho :)
