Come in and Warm your Frozen Boots by the Fire!

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Gunnolf, and I am originally from the Land Down Under a.k.a. Australia. I am an avid gamer that has acquired a real passion for card games, which originated from my humble beginnings as a Yu-Gi-Oh collector and eventually grew from my dabbling in Cardfight Vanguard and Buddyfight, until we reached the game we know as Hearthstone.

I've played Hearthstone since the days of classic, with multiple accounts on both EU and NA servers. Despite having reached the Rank of Legend and my own personal mentality of equating 'having fun' with 'winning', I am not really a fan of meta power-grinding & net-decking, not that there is anything wrong with that. Therefore, I enjoy thinking about new, cool and fun deck ideas that push boundaries while also allowing you to win and those are what I want to share with you guys every-time I post a decklist.

I have presently become a contributing writer to WILDHS and will be posting articles there on a semi-regular basis, regarding deck-archetypes the status of the meta as well as how to get the most fun out of this game even if you aren't a big spender. If any of this sounds interesting, then I highly recommend that you check out of the website, as the writers and the owner himself are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet with great in-game knowledge (link to be website can be found HERE). You can also follow me on Twitter for latest updates.

If you genuinely like my content and would like to see me produce more of it, then please consider supporting me on Patreon. This is by no means necessary but it will definitely help me out in the long run. Thanks for Reading ^^

Deck Introduction

Heh, Greetings (he said sarcastically like we know all warriors do when they emote :p) and welcome back for another exciting deck-reveal. Considering that K&C just launched, I thought I would go the extra mile and release three decks simultaneously, each one of a different archetype and for a separate class. If you would like to view the other decks, simply scroll to the bottom of this guide and click the link provided. But, but, but before you do that allow me to introduce my latest control warrior innovation; Armor C’thun Warrior. The name needs a little work I know but for now it essentially allows you to understand the concept behind the deck. What I find deeply fascinating about this particular deck is the large amount of cards that interact with your Armor. Due to this fact, the deck isn’t easy to pilot perfectly so it does require some practice but you can bet you’ll have a hell of a lot of fun when doing so.

Card Choices Explained

Below you'll find reasoning as to why certain cards were included in the present list.

a) Bladed Gauntlet: This card is a wonderful new addition to the warrior’s arsenal. It is not really an early game weapon and as such only one copy has been included. It’s main purpose is to act as additional hard removal in the lategame when your Armor count should be fairly high.

b) Brann Bronzebeard: You aren’t running the classic combo with Emperor Thaurissan, so why is Brann in your deck? Simply put, he is a great combo card for armor generation. Specifically he combos with Ancient Shieldbearer for a 20 armor burst healing. Further to that though, he also synergises with all the c’thun buffing cards in addition to c’thun himself (assuming he stays alive that long)

c) Skulking Geist: This is a tech choice to deal with combo decks and jade druid. Not essentially to the running of the deck but can be extremely useful when facing down combo and jade druids.

d) Elise Starseeker: Apart from purely nostalgic reasons, this version of elise actually allows you to transform your ‘useless in the lategame cards’ i.e. acolyte of pain into useful minions.

e) Dead Man's Hand: Has been included instead of the Emperor Thaurissan combo, as it is more reliable and gives you a second C'Thun irrespective of whether or not your first one suffered a demise from a polymorph effect. It is important to note that you can include a second copy as well. However, for me personally when playtesting it turned out to be rather clunky.

Win Conditions

Primary win condition for this deck is C'Thun with the secondary one being that of Geosculptor Yip who is very often guaranteed to get you at least an eight-drop per turn considering all your armor generation.

However, the deck doesn't stop there. Don't forget that by utilizing your upgraded hero power, Tank Up, you can essentially go to fatigue and come out on top as you will also have the benefit of Elise Starseeker transforming your useless card draw and small minions into big scary Legendaries.

So technically, this deck has three win conditions which You can utilise effectively at your discretion depending on how the game works out! ^^

I enjoy deck-building a multitude of interesting decks that are both entertaining and Legend viable (with some odd Free-to-Play lists mixed in). So if you like this deck (or anyone of my other ones) consider leaving a thumbs up, as it really helps in the long run! :)

Thank you guys for all your support and if you have any suggestions, let me know.
