Hi. 

I`m from Korea and going up through ranks just with mage decks.

let me apologize first with my bad english and terminology about hearthstone.

I well know that SO many mage players suffer from zoo deck and Hunters.

So I tried to find out the weak point of three major decks 

- hunter, warlock, warrior - 

all they have in common is that their field-cleaning spells are over 5 costs.

(zoo doesn`t contains spells... whatever, doomguard is 5.)

So I thought about the card that can yield a field advantage before turn 4.

most cases mage use water elemental - but that is just another version of yeti. it is not enough.

so I tried cultist and it worked out great.

in 1~3 costs it goes like a deathrattle aggro mage - nearly a zoo, with a pesky little minions that makes another minion.

deck has 6cards with 1cost, so i bet you will start field conquering faster than others.

try to keep your minions alive, not dead. minimize the field battle, go to opponene face, and wait until cultist.

then, when cultist is here, kill minions and get field advantage, with 2~3 draws.

this is kind of cost 4 - hawks and doggies - mage combo.

well, but what does that mean?

loosing all minions and just draws... means nothing in mosts decks, however,

we are "shooting" in the late game. you see?

minions outlaw -> draws with cultist -> quickly downsize your deck and get spells for face.

this is quite fast - lotheb can be hard, but we have a lot of minions too.

deck type is a transforming one... aggro to control.

 

so we should carefully calculate the damage that we can give.

should I save Ice lance for frostbolt? or should i hold down that windrunner?

or maybe antonidas is in the deck... wait for a combo until then..

 

needs a lot of thinking to do this.

 

but the power is crazy.

I became legend with this deck, rank 3 , 1star to legend within 25 plays.

 

acutally the deck was made for hunter`s counter deck.

(hunter is weak to zoo... and also to face-punching deck)

and I changed the face rush to spells.

 

so many decks use sludge, 5 cost taunt.

before that taunt, i get the field, draws, and ready to launch.

 

even anduin do not use any holy flames(? 6cost-5deal 5heal) and rely on taunt minions.

spells are best to go through that wall.

 

miracle rogue died becuase of lotheb, but not only because of that ; also taunt minions, especially sludge stops leeroy almost eternally.

 

mage spells can go through. 

it easily kills hunter and zoo(I lost JUST once, the one that uses alexstarza & zaraxxus both.)

and quite hard, but also we can deal with warrior and anduin.

it depends on the just one combo - antonidas- (? 3/2 minion with spell cost down, sorry for not knowning the english version) - mirror image - forstbolt - ice lance.

this gives 7 damage to face with 2 taunt defender and 3 fireballs.

the whole deal that you can give is 3+4+3+4+6+6+6+6+6+10 =54. nice, huh

and since this is an aggro at first, and ignores the field- it doesnt needs that much damage.

 

i bet there is more hunters than warrior, so this works nicely.

ps. sorry for english. In korea they spell "ice arrow" instead of "frostbolt".... I didnt knew until today.
