What is Pit Stain?

Pit Stain is a new type of control warlock deck - far superior in the meta to Zoo or Handlock.  Pit Stain is by far my most successful deck and the one that I can with almost guarantee Kel'Thuzad and/or Thaddius combos.

Why Pit Stain?

Because it features Pit Lord of course!   And he actually works!  But the real magic of this deck is the amazing number of ways to enable Feugen and Stalagg.

How to play:

Pit Stain is all about control in the early game (along with a few sticky/and/or tough to remove early minions) and then starting about turn 5 beginning the steamroll to the win.  I'll run you through a few of the key cards, and then if it gets enough likes I'll add in class specific tactics.

The Mulligan:

Go for your early minions and removal spells.  If you can keep the board clear for about 3-4 turns, the rest will work itself out.

Key Cards / Combos:

Drain Life:  Such an annoying spell in the early game, especially if you can get back life lost to hero power or Flame Imp (or Pit Lord ;) ).  You're especially looking to end Knife Jugglers or any other 2 life 2-3 drop.

Demonfire:  Demonfire is totally worth keeping in your hand for a Mulligan.  Either it will remove a threat, or if you got a turn 1 minion down, buffing them up and helping them stick.  Either way use it to help clear the board!

Sense Demons:  What makes this deck awesome is how quick and reliably you can get to your Thaddius combo.  Sense Demons not only thins the deck, but increases your chances of drawing Stalagg, Feugen or Kel,Thuzad when you need it most.

Voidcaller:  It takes some practice to learn how to best use VoidCaller - but think of him as the ultimate Harvest Golem.  Voidcaller is absolutely best when you expect a board clear, especially an equality combo from a Paladin.  Make sure if he does 'clear the board' a big minion comes out to punish him.  Always try and play out your 1 drop demons before hand and possibly a sense demons so you can assure a Pit Lord (the best one to pull) or Dread Infernal.

Dread Infernal:  Another form of removal.  In this deck for whatever reason I've finally be able to take ultimate advantage of the 1 damage to all characters.

Shadow Flame:  The absolute best, most devastating combo to do with Stalagg.  Especially against Shaman or Mages (who can negate the deathrattle all together) a Stalagg Shadow flame combo can be instant GG (especially if it pulls Thaddius or from behind Kel'Thuzad).

Power Overwhelming:  Another amazing way to force out Thaddius.  I almost never play PO on anything other than the electric twins.

Kel'Thuzad / Sludge Belcher:  If at all possible, and with this deck it's often possible, always play a Sludge Belcher the turn before KT.  With the amount of removal you have, playing Sludge and then a Shadow Bolt to clear the board, then KT - it just devastates.

Siphon Soul:  this is the card that makes enemies rage quit more often than all the others put together.  ESPECIALLY when it's some beefy Legendary like Ysera or even better a divine shielded Tirion.  Think about it - A removal and a big healfor warlocks.  It's amazing.

WHAT NO DOOMGUARD?

Nope, can't afford to lose two cards.  I have one panic button Soulfire and that's enough.

The rest is just for you to have fun and figure out.  I LOVE playing with this deck and to have a new way to play with Warlock is awesome.

Enjoy!
