Archetype: Midrange

Skill Cap: Average

Description:

This deck originally started out as a Control deck, but after much experimentation, it actually turned out better as an aggressive Midrange deck.

The deck usually plays out like a typical Dragon Priest, albeit a lot more aggressively, but has the Hobgoblin combo to re-flood the board and refill your hand.

Mulligan:

Card Choices:

Wyrmrest Agent: Very strong card standalone. Becomes a 4/6 Taunt when played with Hobgoblin.

Netherspite Historian: Very high chance to Discover Drakonid Operative (Class cards have x4 weightage). Hobgoblin synergy.

Northshire Cleric: Can be used for draw, or tempo with Hobgoblin.

Acolyte of Pain: Hobgoblin synergy. Because it is hard to kill in a single hit after being buffed by Hobgoblin, it may also potentially draw multiple cards.

Unstable Ghoul: Hobgoblin synergy. The Deathrattle can also be used to draw cards with Northshire Cleric/Acolyte of Pain. Also a decent anti-aggro card.

Stonehill Defender: Hobgoblin synergy. Very high chance to Discover Tortollan Shellraiser/Obsidian Statue (Class cards have x4 weightage) or minions that have Hobgoblin synergy (eg. Twilight Geomancer/Stonehill Defender/Tar Creeper).

Museum Curator: Hobgoblin synergy. Very high chance to Discover Crystalline Oracle/Dark Cultist/Shifting Shade/Tortollan Shellraiser/Obsidian Statue (Class cards have x4 weightage).

Midnight Drake: Because this deck has so much card draw/generation, this usually comes down as a huge threat that cannot be ignored. When played with Hobgoblin, it will be gigantic (a 9/6 on average), even with little to no cards in hand.

Cobalt Scalebane: Very strong card standalone. Especially powerful with low attack high hp minions and/or cheap tokens like Northshire Cleric/Twilight Whelp/Museum Curator/Wyrmrest Agent/Netherspite Historian/Unstable Ghoul/Acolyte of Pain/Stonehill Defender/Book Wyrm. This card is the main reason I changed this deck from a Control deck to an aggressive Midrange deck.

Book Wyrm: Very powerful in Wild, with most Control decks running Doomsayer/Sludge Belcher. Also decent against Aggro.

Brann Bronzebeard: Usually used with Blackwing Corruptor for tempo/lethal, or Museum Curator/Drakonid Operative/Netherspite Historian/Stonehill Defender for value, or to summon a huge Midnight Drake.

Card Substitutions:

Twilight Drake: Will usually be huge because this deck has so much card draw/generation. Also very powerful against Priests (4 attack).

Blackwing Technician: Strong standalone card. Excluded because it isn't a Dragon.

Twilight Guardian: Decent Dragon. Excluded because it is too slow for this deck.

Azure Drake: Very strong card standalone. Excluded because this deck has no Spells to take advantage of the Spell Damage, and because it is too slow for this deck.

Ysera: Provides Dragon synergy, and can quickly close out games.

Dragonfire Potion: Clear the opponent's board without clearing yours. Excluded because it is too slow for this deck.

Kabal Chemist: Body + card generation. Can Discover Dragonfire Potion. Excluded because it is too slow for this deck.
