Description:
You're probably thinking, Mech DRUID?! This deck runs a ton of cheap Spells and Spare Part generators to use as fuel for Violet Teacher, Gadgetzan Auctioneer, Gazlowe and Arcane Giant.
Card Choices:
Core Cards:
Mark of the Lotus: Extremely powerful synergy with Violet Teacher. Can optionally be used with Gadgetzan Auctioneer/Gazlowe.
Violet Teacher: Our primary token generator. Usually game-winning if Stealthed with the Finicky Cloakfield Spare Part.
Gadgetzan Auctioneer: Our draw engine. Usually game-winning if Stealthed with the Finicky Cloakfield Spare Part.
Arcane Giant: With so many Spells generated or played in the deck, they will usually be played for free or nearly free.
Clockwork Gnome/Tinkertown Technician/Mechanical Yeti/Toshley/Mech-Bear-Cat: Spare Part generators.
Supporting Cards:
Innervate: Very powerful with Violet Teacher/Gadgetzan Auctioneer. No longer as powerful after the nerf.
Earthen Scales: Can be played on Mech-Bear-Cat/Arcane Giant for healing. Can also double as fuel for Violet Teacher/Gadgetzan Auctioneer/Gazlowe.
Jade Idol: In case the game reaches fatigue, you can fall back on the Gadgetzan Auctioneer + Jade Idol combo. Can also be played with Violet Teacher + Mark of the Lotus for the extra body.
Living Roots: Very flexible card. Tokens are very powerful with Mark of the Lotus. Can also double as cheap removal. Can also double as fuel for Violet Teacher/Gadgetzan Auctioneer/Gazlowe.
Naturalize: Cheap removal that can also double as fuel for Violet Teacher/Gadgetzan Auctioneer/Gazlowe for a massive tempo swing.
Raven Idol: 2 Spells in a single card.
Harvest Golem: Mainly to increase the consistency of Tinkertown Technician's Battlecry, since the Damaged Golem summoned by the Deathrattle is also a Mech. Also has decent synergy with Mark of the Lotus.
Gazlowe: Included for fun. Another outlet for the 1-cost Spells and Spare Parts.
Card Substitutions:
Yogg-Saron, Hope's End: Since we will be playing a ton of Spells.
Malfurion the Pestilent: Generally strong card all around.
Claw: Decent 1-cost Spell.
Feral Rage: Very flexible card that can be used as healing or removal.
Swipe: Board clear.
The Black Knight: Synergy with the Rusty Horn Spare Part. Also very powerful standalone in the current meta.
Spare Parts:
Finicky Cloakfield: The Spare Part you'll usually want the most. Giving a Violet Teacher/Gadgetzan Auctioneer Stealth for a turn is usually game-winning.
Reversing Switch: Very useful to kill Doomsayers and Shaman's Totems.
Armor Plating: Helps make your Violet Teacher/Gadgetzan Auctioneer harder to kill. Also can be used to buff a minion out of board clear range.
Emergency Coolant: Great for Freezing a big minion until you have a board to deal with it. Can alternately be used to stall against Aggro.
Rusty Horn: Great for stalling against Aggro. Can be cast on an enemy minion behind Taunt to attack into it.
Whirling Blades: One of the less useful Spare Parts. Allows your tokens to trade up into bigger minions.
Time Rewinder: The least useful Spare Part for this deck. Can be used as a way to restore a friendly minion to full health (by returning it to hand and replaying it), especially on an Arcane Giant (since you will most likely be able to replay it for free).
I don't really enjoy ranked, and I don't really have the time for the grind as well, so I have not tried going very far with this.
I created this deck in Ungoro, and it was quite strong at lower ladder ranks then. Its a lot weaker now after Skulking Geist was introduced in Frozen Throne, and even more so after the Innervate nerf.
If you do want to try climbing the ladder with it though, I'd suggest you cut Gazlowe. He's clearly the weakest link in the deck, I'm just including him for fun.
