I.Introduction
Good day to all! I am here again for another hunter deck. This time I have completed a working hunter deck that includes Prince Keleseth. Most of you would probably say, but hunter has good 2 drops why use Prince Keleseth? The answer is because hunter can really benefit from the buff Prince Keleseth gives. Those cards that seem to have been meh card are given a push into the good direction. So if you are still in doubt if it is good, go and try it yourself. Most of my friends who have tried the deck are also amazed that it actually works.
If winning is your priority and not so much of having fun or you just lack the dust to make this deck then I'd suggest my newest deck:

II. Card Choices
Hunter Cards
Alleycat - solid 1 drop and activator for Kill Command'- Jeweled Macaw - a decent 1 drop which gives you a beast that you could play later on. This card becomes really good if you get a 2 drop to follow it up or if it gives you something you can use later on to win the game.
- Hunter's Mark - very reliant removal, you could sub one Unleash the Hounds if you are facing more aggro decks such as Evolve Shaman.
- Tracking - fixes your curve and lets you find whatever you will be needing
- Animal Companion - staple in hunter deck, each of the three has their corresponding strengths
- Bearshark - hands down a very good card atm, the spell shroud coupled with buffs from Houndmaster can most of the times win you games.
- Eaglehorn Bow - even without traps this weapon is reliable in gaining board control and also helps in pushing damage
- Kill Command - a good finisher or removal if you need one, just remember that you need a beast on the board to have the full 5 damage
Stitched Tracker- Unleash the Hounds - provides you reach against decks that try to overwhelm you with minions. Great if paired with Hunter's Mark to clear bigger bodies. Keep in mind that Leokk will also improve this card if you get lucky and get him from Animal Companion
- Dispatch Kodo - a good card to win the board, deals 3 damage if you have a Leokk on board or if you have previously cast Prince Keleseth
- Houndmaster - the value this card gives is really high, don't hesitate to play this turn 4 if you have nothing
Tundra Rhino- Deathstalker Rexxar - the only aoe damage this deck has, ZOMBEASTS ARE AWESOME, don't hesitate to use this card
- Savannah Highmane - the value of this card is tremendous (it is very hard to deal with - its 6/5 body and the 2 2/2's that come out) if you get a chance to play it, more often than not it will win you games (a guaranteed 4 damage on your next turn, of course unless they silence it)
Neutral Cards
- Bloodsail Corsair - mainly used to pull out Patches the Pirate from your deck and also good to remove your opponent's weapon in certain matchups
- Fire Fly - probably the best thing you can drop on turn 1 so why not?
- Patches the Pirate - this is probably one of the best 1 drops in the game, specially if you have already played Prince Keleseth
Stonetusk Boar- Prince Keleseth - drawing this card will boost your winrate by around 10% but if you don't get him it's not really the end of the world
- Southsea Captain - I added this because it synergizes better with the other pirates in the deck
- Bittertide Hydra - 5 mana that is literally a beast, just make sure your opponent can't abuse the damage effect it will deal to you
- Leeroy Jenkins - a great finisher in your deck
Alternatives:
Patches the Pirate If you choose to remove him, then you have to remove the whole pirate package, here's how:
- Remove 2 copies of Bloodsail Corsair
- Remove Patches the Pirate
- Remove 2 copies of Southsea Captain
- Add either: 2 Alleycat + 1 Fiery Bat or 2 Fiery Bat + 1 Alleycat
- Add 2 copies of Stitched Tracker
Leeroy Jenkins > Bonemare or Tundra Rhino
Deathstalker Rexxar > Savannah Highmane
Bittertide Hydra > Cobalt Scalebane or Tundra Rhino
III. Quick Mulligan Guide
For most matchups you would want to keep the following:
- Prince Keleseth - ALWAYS!
- Fire Fly
- Jeweled Macaw
- Tracking
With coin: - Eaglehorn Bow
- Animal Companion
- Southsea Captain
Matchup based: - Bloodsail Corsair - against Rogue, Shaman, Warrior
- Bearshark - against Druid, Mage, Priest
- Unleash the Hounds - against Hunter, Paladin, Shaman, and Warlock
- Deathstalker Rexxar - against Priest, Shaman, and Warlock
Revision History:
v1.6
- +2 [card]Fire Fly[/card]
- +2 [card]Jeweled Macaw[/card]
- +1 [card]Savannah Highmane[/card]
- -2 [card]Alleycat[/card]
- -2 [card]Hunter's Mark[/card]
- -1 [card]Tracking[/card]
- Fire Fly seems to be a better choice than Alleycat for a turn 1 play.
- I added Jeweled Macaw to help in the early game, the beast it can produce includes those 2 drops which we lack in the deck. This card can also act as an activator for Kill Command.
- Hunter's Mark is also a bit useless in the early game and it needs something on your side of the board to work.
- I removed one copy of Tracking to make way for Savannah Highmane which makes ending games easier. It is really hard to remove the 6/5 body together with the 2 2/2's it produces.
Older version:
v1.1
- +2 [card]Southsea Captain[/card]
- -2 [card]Stitched Tracker[/card]
Southsea Captain maybe a better pick to speed up the deck.
Stitched Tracker also causes those who try the deck to get another Prince Keleseth which would not activate unless you draw the original Prince Keleseth from the deck.
v1.2
- +2 [card]Bittertide Hydra[/card]
- -1 [card]Tundra Rhino[/card]
- -1 [card]Savannah Highmane[/card]
Bittertide Hydra is a better choice for a more aggressive approach, Savannah Highmane seems to be a bit slow and the Tundra Rhino is a bit lackluster for the slot.
v1.3
- +2 [card]Unleash the Hounds[/card]
- -2 Stonetusk Boar
Unleash the Hounds provides more reach against decks that try to overwhelm you with minions. Stonetusk Boar doesn't seem to meet much of my expectations like when cast on turn 1.
v1.4
- +2 [card]Savannah Highmane[/card]
- -1 [card]Hunter's Mark[/card]
- -1 [card]Unleash the Hounds[/card]
Drawing two copies of either Hunter's Mark or Unleash the Hounds is pretty bad so maybe 1 copy of each will do. Savannah Highmane I guess is a pretty strong card for the slot and can definitely seal games for you.
v1.5
After numerous testing I have seen that Savannah Highmane is way too slow for the deck. I went back to including 2 copies of both Hunter's Mark and Unleash the Hounds.
Thank you so much for your time. I hope you liked the deck! If you did, please give the deck an up vote (+) and if you didn't like it please leave a comment below on how this deck can improve. Have fun y'all!
rubish deck, went 0-3 on rank 20 and in 2 games i had keleseth on turns 2/3
3 games is not a very large sample size. Come back when you have 10 or 20, then a real pattern might start to emerge from the results. Otherwise these are just 3 unlucky games.
can you not read bruh i had keleseth on 2 and literally curved out perfectly but got out-aggroed nd out tempoed by shaman and token druid
It's basically impossible to win games with this deck. :(
What's your sample-size, if I may ask?
The deck is a typical "black-jack" thing. Not that it is bad because of wrong hunter's cards. Not at all. It's all about Keleseth. Statistically, the probability to get this son of a noun is 3.3%. If you don't get it early enough, this motherflipper is almost good for nothing. When it is drawn at turn 5 or 6 (let along after 10) it is as good as band-aid on a broken leg. Leroy hitting 6 or 7 - does that really matter?
I tried Keleseth for my rogue as well, and the result is disgusting.
As a Hunter main, I do think this deck is currently one of the strongest possible and really fun actually (if you like aggro) !
I'm looking on crafting this deck, how fast is this compared to Midrange? This will cost me 8k dust and honestly, I'm ranking with Midrange just fine but it does look fun and unique for the hunter class.
Honestly I still prefer playing the Midrange version but this one is really cool to play and can get you legend pretty easily. If you don't like playing aggro decks, stick to the midrange version :)
By the way, I'd like to look at your midrange version, just curious :)
I'm using this version of Midrange (http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/953108-free-to-play-rank-23-to-rank-10-in-2-days-midrange) but
[ - Venomstrike Trap + Kindly Grandmother].
Wait, this deck is Aggro? I always like aggro hunter so this should be fun.
Oh I see, not the kind of decklist that I like :p
But yes this deck can be considered as an aggro deck for sure !
I don't know if it is because Keleseth is always buried or not. Right now It looks like you are giving up to many benefits for the chance draw with Keleseth. I like the idea but haven't been having any luck with it.
thank you i want to try this deck on ranked
Firstly I do not speak English (I'm using the translator LOL ), so sorry for the possible mistakes.
I've been playing with this deck since version 1.4, and I have a lot of fun with it, thanks xD. I really liked the hunter's mark and want to have at least one on the deck, in the place I could put it there?
OMG thanks for the continued support! For Hunter’s Mark to work you need something to hit the target with it so you need to have established a board or have something like Dispatch Kodo in hand, with this in mind the best answer would be Tracking. Have a great day bro! :)
I find the tracking very interesting, I'll test exactly how you did and then see if I'm going to miss the hunter's mark. Thanks ^^
Uh it's just pirates played out of hunter.
Having a surprisingly fun time with this deck. Unfortunately I don't have DK Rexxar so I put in an additional highmane.
This deck is nice because it's different, every "good" hunter deck has 90% of the same cards so its refreshing to use a couple different ones like the Pirates and the prince...
Good work OP
There seems to be a bit of negative synergy with prince and the fact that there is about 1/3 of the deck that isn't getting buffed. I understand that animal companion is a good card and so is bow, but uth and rexx don't do anything. Perhaps switching an ac for vicious fledgling and rexx for another highmane or stitched tracker? It just seems like it should be a more tempo minion based deck like rogue or zoo.
Did you mean swap a UTH for a vicious fledgling or did you actaully mean animal companion?
