If you are looking for a great deck that counters both Rogues and Priests, this is definitely the deck for you. Created by Minatsuko on Hearthstone, following the Murloc Warleader nerf, after a few days refining the deck, he came up with this tweaked decklist.
Here is a video showcase guide for the deck:
Your goal with the deck is to curve out the most ridiculous board possible while trading and protecting yourself from AoE. It can be quite difficult to not lose to a well placed Dragonfire Potion, but you should be okay most of the time. Adapting will be crucial most of the time, but on an empty board, even just adapting 2 minions can make a huge difference. Being able to put Divine Shields on your Murlocs with Steward of Darkshire is very important, especially against Priest.
Mulligan Guide:
If you don't get The Coin, you are looking for Murloc Tidecaller, Rockpool Hunter and Coldlight Seer. Hard mulligan for Murloc Tidecaller first and foremost, and if you have him, then look for the rest. Other decent options include Grimscale Chum against non-ping classes and Vilefin Inquisitor if you already have Rockpool Hunter and Hydrologist.
If you get The Coin, you can keep Murloc Warleader, or Steward of Darkshire if you have other Murlocs in hand.
If you know you are going to be playing against Aggro, keep Rallying Blade, and never keep Divine Favor.
The deck works perfectly went on a 15 game win streak into rank 5.
Any replacements for [card]Sunkeeper Tarim[/card]?
I don't think they can be replaced. The deck doesn't work without them.
I don't think that's true - I won 7 of my first 9 games with this deck and didn't use either of the legendaries. Most games are over one way or another by turn 6 usually...
Tarim is an incredible comeback card. You obviously could run the deck without him, but it's incredibly suboptimal.
which ranks did minatsuko or other people advance with this deck?
Kiwiinbacon, a Hearthstone Youtuber/Streamer, climbed to Rank 2, and plans on climbing further with it.
This deck is absolute garbage. Play a minion...does nothing...gets cleared. Rinse and repeat until concede.
If you just spam out minions without considering what the opponent might be playing, then yeah, you'll probably lose. i.e. a priest will almost certainly have potion of madness early on, so don't play 2 minions that could kill each-other etc. If a hunter plays a secret, buff HP before attacking face. Pretty obvious stuff really...
Amazing deck, awesome content as always Kiwi!
