Hi all,
Back with another challenge this season called "Plebstone" with the following rules:
*Only basic/common cards allowed
*NO ADVENTURES
The goal is to design some decks that a fresh player can craft within a couple days of starting Hearthstone. The hope is that these will be high enough quality to reach rank 5 at least, but this will have to be play-tested more extensively to see if they can compete with the tier 1 meta decks.

Hey lokshadow, love your stuff! Just curious as to why inner fire isn't used here? Seems like a must play. Thanks in advance if you respond!
The deck doesn't have a lot of card draw so it's not consistent to get the combo. You have other minions that buff the attack so I didn't find it necessary. Glad you enjoy the decks! :)
Nice initiative. Thx LOKShadow!
When you build a deck without having all the legendaries and/or epics, you have 2 choices :
I tried both solution and the second one is far above the first one. Perharps not to reach legend easily compared to Tier1 decks but enough to have a good winrate.
Thanks and I agree! It's definitely nice to start from scratch and just build with the cards that you have instead of trying to netdeck and replace. I also think it's important to emphasize the fun aspect of it too. If there's a card you really want to play with because it's fun but not necessarily the best option, opt to have some fun and give your deck some personality!
Hey Lok. I just wanted to drop a few words about "Plebstone". I believe it's a great idea. I'll try and explain why I think it is nice to see experienced players trying to give something for the newcomers to this game.
I started playing Hearthstone about a year and a half ago, after WotOG came out. After struggling as a beginner, I was close to give up on the game, until I came across your OTK worgen Warrior on this very sire. Even if it was for me as a beginner a difficult challenge to navigate it correctly, I really enjoyed playing it for as long as it lasted. Reaching rank 12 was at that time a great success to me. After that, I wanted to try more decks, so I inevitably became a p2w on my main account (EU). Even though I like challenging decks, the "need" to climb fast (a mistake for sure), drove me to play most of the time Tier 1 decks and I think for quite some time, I didn't really enjoyed playing Hearthstone. Since KFT came out, I have been trying your new decks. On my main account, I could afford to play the Warlock deck and had some really fun games with it. But since I don' t have many cards on NA and A, I thought I would follow the challenge. NA was the arena playing ground account, so I had the dust to make the Mage and Priest decks. I have to say that I'm having a blast navigating the decks, and mainly this Priest deck (8 -2 so far), from rank 25 to Rank 14. I know rank 14 doesn't say much, but the feeling beating Tempo Rogue and Zoolock with Prince 2, Handlock, Murloc Paladin and Jade Druid is amazing.
I know I wrote far too much, but I think that these decks should get some attention, so that new players can see that they can have a great HS experience with only basic cards, while learning the aspects of the game.
Keep the good work man.
Hi Richangelo!
Thank you for putting so much thought into writing up that response and sharing your experiences! It's great to see your perspective on both the F2P and P2W side of things, and it's so rewarding for me to see people having fun with my decks and really enjoying the game. I still feel sad about the OTK warrior nerf because it was so rare to have such a cheap yet deep-thinking deck available for new players. I love that there is the challenge and struggle to learn and master, but you also feel rewarded when you start seeing results because it comes from the skill and knowledge you gained. Not every deck can promote that kind of thinking!
Anyways, I really appreciate you taking the time to respond! It feels really rewarding for me when I hear about new players benefiting from my decks/guides/content and having fun. It would be really awesome to see "Plebstone" as a community event and seeing some of the contributions from other users on the site!
Good luck on the ladder! :)
I'm really curious to see how far I can get with a basic card only deck.
I really hope to see "Plebstone" getting more attention. :)
