Finally made it into the top 100 (comfortably) with my unique take on aggro paladin. I actually achieved this rank post Murloc Warleader nerf as the nerf's to druid and pirate ment there was more priest on the ladder, a favorable match-up.
Mulligan Guide
Always keep: Grimscale Chum, Murloc Tidecaller,[card] Vilefin Inquisitor[/card], Rockpool Hunter,
Almost always keep: Murloc Warleader, Smuggler's Run (with coin) Grimscale Oracle, Murloc Tidehunter, Hydrologist (especially vs control), Righteous Protector (especially vs aggro)
Gameplay
You want to play pretty damn aggressively in general, remember you have a lot of card draw to refill your hand so you can afford to empty it quite quickly. Trade efficiently and play around both removal and board wipes to build up a big board. Make the board even bigger with Gentle Megasaur and Coldlight Seer. Murloc Warleader and Grimscale Oracle can be used either for efficient trading or for huge face damage, together they can lead to turn 4 lethal.
pick and use Hydrologist secret's wisely
Murloc Warleader + Getaway Kodo : Play him again next turn
Righteous Protector + redemtion : OP
Eye for an Eye goes through mage's iceblock
Maybe Finja is better than Tarim? Dont know what to do.
What I hate about this deck :/
Finally tested the deck and it is super strong! I haven't lost a matchup yet kind of came close to losing against Jade Druid, but other than that its too fast for the current meta to respond to. I'll post my matchups later if anyone is interested, but I just got to Rank 6 from 15!
im stuggling between 12-11 with mage. do you think this will help me finally reach rank 10?
Is Murloc Warleader still good?
Definitely.
Is rallying blade good? It only synergies with the 1 Protector and maybe getting divine shield through megasaur.
You are using it for damage, not for the buff.
This is the changes i've made for this deck:
THERE ARE NO ANY FREAKING CHANGES, the deck is absolutely ideal! if you were looking for an answer to current meta with these endless priests and too slow keleseths and came in paladin section to build old good murlock adaptation deck, just like me, you just have won the jackpot. Today, while its still unpopular, this deck can beat every other single deck. I've reached my first legend from 5 rank 0 stars for 12 hours with it, and it was easy. I mean, extreamly easy. Absolutely joy of crushing all these popular meta-decks with silver bullet.
Approximate winrates (sorry I didnt record stats):
Priest: ~70% win. Yes, this is preferrable matchup and the reason I switched to this deck. Never think when playing vs priest, be maximum aggresive. Priest has infinite amount of removals, but you also have infinite amount of threats and you must build the board before his dk. Matches look absolutely amazing. Worth see it.
Rogue: definetly higher than 50%, but near it. You are stronger. You are faster. You have instantaneous Smuggler's Run while his double Keleseth is amazingly slow. You could blow him up like dummy, if you are lucky. And, as usual, he cant answer to field flooded with big minions, so keep your field buffed. Good worthy opponent.
Warlock: Higher than with rogue, maybe 55%+ or near. When i was starting climb, I was ready to autoconcede to warlocks every time cause of their scaring aoe and good board control. Also i thought it wont be much locks in ladder, I mistaked both times. There are a lot of warlocks and surprisingly this deck beats both version of it. You will see control lock more often, and this is equal confrontation. Zoolock easier to win cause he dont have aoe answers on your field. Again, his Keleseth is much, much, much more slower then your facilities.
Shaman: the only unwanted matchup. You can win, if you have good start and plaing smart, but maelstorm portal and involution or evolution/dk on saronite gang or doppelgangsters can stop you entirely. Yes, and Lightning Storm! Idk why, but they start to put in their decks! Winrate slightly below 50%.
Warrior: have met several of them. Both pirate and taunt warriors can be easy but can also play on your nerves. Winrated maybe 55%+.
Druid: the same as warriors. Both types, jade and aggro - 55%+. Dont press hero power before spreading plague, make sure your murlocks have 3+ hp before turn 8 and you will be fine. Jade suffer from lack of removals, imo.
Paladin: there are no paladins in ladder yet (but I sure they will flood it). I met one midrange and he had killed me, thats all. 0%, lol, thats only stat i know for sure.
Hunter: Pretty sure its autowin.
Mage: Autowin too. Exodia can kill you at x:24 every hour, but she wouldnt. Secret mage should be favorable for you.
Always try to win board from the start, Many decks today just cant take it back, so make your board from the first turn.
By the way, i always mulliganed for Smuggler's Run, no matter how good drops i had. Idk, was it stupid or not, but it worked well for me. I thought about saving [card]Vilefin Inquisitor[/card] for mathes vs rogue, but i didnt repair what worked good,
For full journey from rank 5 I hanvt met any mirror. All matches was winnable unlike matches i played with my other decks and damn pretty interesting, especially with some priests.
Also, dont put Keleseth in this deck. Absence of this card in this deck is the reason why it so awfully strong.
You have couple of days for your easy legend, folks, while vicious sindicate think that tempo rogue is the best current deck. Hehehe.
God bless you for sharing deck, my friend.
Excuse me my english.
Upd: 6-1 at legend right now :3
Upd2: max result:
What are your thoughts on teching in Golakka Crawlers?
Having two favors is essential.
Any replacements for small time?
It's essential, i guess.
would'nt the sword of justice be a better weapon for this deck? buffs when you summon a minion
this deck needs more upvotes. i got to rank 9 with it ( i started late this eason ) really easy deck to pilot
For sure. I guess, the thread lacks some video showdown to be more popular.
The deck is quite good against all these freaking hunters, which are plenty on ladder nowadays. Rogue is treaky though, but not unwinnable. I faced one warrior with Bring It On! and Dead Man's Hand - that is tough too, unless you quickly kill him. But maybe it's just because he highrolled me with two fishes in the fist 15 cards. Priests are favourable unless they draw their aoe's like crazy.
Any sub for small time recruits
I just wanted to thank you, bro, for this deck. I took legend with it today for the first time. Good luck and have fun!
Ok let me know how that turns out
Do you think prince kelseth will improve this decl. And if you are not running on a budget what do you think is the better versions of the card you used?
