Intro:

I've seen a lot of people talking about dragon mage lately so I decided to put together a list. Most of the other lists that I've seen are very midrange or control so this is a bit more tempo based because of the great tempo cards that are available (i.e. Book Wyrm, Firelands Portal, etc.)

 

Gameplan:

The general plan is to play early cards like Mana Wyrm or Arcanologist and then just play a tempo card each turn after that. If the game goes later, you have the dragon package for immense value.

Curving out is very important in this deck, so be sure to using Arcane Intellect and Primordial Glyph any time you have spare mana.

 

Mulligans:

Since this plays just like a tempo deck, you'll want to keep Mana Wyrm, Primordial Glyph, Arcanologist, Netherspite Historian every time.

it's okay to keep Twilight Drake against slower/midrange decks.

 

Possible Replacements:

Eater of Secrets ->  EoS is a really card vs. some of the other mage/hunter/paladin decks.

Sindragosa -> Sindragosa was a little slow to make the initial cut, but a must have against anti-aggro decks. (Plus dragon synergy!)

Frost Lich Jaina -> FLJ pairs very well with Sindragosa, but again she's very slow.

Golakka Crawler -> For the Pirate Haters

Polymorph -> Good against Big Priest/Big Druid

Spellbreaker -> In case there are a lot of taunts/edwins
