-This is a work in progress, so keep that in mind.-
Introduction
Druid is definitely one of the more reliable classes out there, it is a solid choice for both ladder and for competitive play. As token druid tends to be "gimmicky" and overall inconsistent, most players usually choose the mighty ramp druid. As you can see there are plenty - if not shtload - of ramping decks out there that promise you legendary rank, a girlfriend and a new PC.
So what makes this one special or different? Long story short: Naxxramas.
But on a serious note these are the key strengths of the deck:
- A decent, or in some cases a fantastic early game thanks to the Echoing Ooze and Mark of the Wild combo. And as always, to Innervate.
- A big wall of taunts and muscle guys that defend your Kel'Thuzad, either directly or by baiting out silences and direct removals.
- The monumental Thaddius, King of gimmicks.
- Versatility against control with the addition of Wild Growths, Big Game Hunter, and the combo we all love & hate at the same time (Force of Nature + Savage Roar).
Future and Past changes
Both Ironbark Protectors were swapped for Sunwalkers as they are less vulnerable to BGH, synergize better with Kel'Thuzad and they are simply cheaper, which can be crucial at certain scenarios. An obvious addition or change could be the Sludge Belcher as people started using it instead of Sen'jin Shieldmasta.
Power of the Wild was questionable, so Healing Touch was added. This makes the hunter and zoo match up significantly better.
Earthen Ring Farseer was removed for another Ancient of Lore to improve consistency and the control match up. So far I've found it infinitely more useful, even against aggro.
Since I had trouble with the Unstable Ghouls they were replaced for Wild Growths. This makes the deck a lot more traditional, which wasn't really my intention, but since the Meta game shifted towards the control decks (the rise of the control warrior, deathrattle shamans, priests), it was necessary for the time being.
If you have any suggestions at all, just post them in the comment section below. I like theory-crafting myself and would be honored if you shared your experiences and testing results about the deck.
P.S. - Trollden Fact:
Remember: "Stay ahead of the meta."
Which card i can replace, if i dont have Big Game Hunter ?
I know it won't be a popular answer but I would consider Poison Seeds. You would have the ability to remove a any threats your opponent plays as well as giving yourself a method of activating Feugen and Stalagg's deathrattles.
I'm not 100% certain but would innervating into a Kel'Thuzad then also restore feugan/stalagg to the board, or does Kel' need to be present when they are destroyed?
This deck beat a Golden Paladin, a bot who didn't kill Kel'Thuzad, LMAO
3 games in a row turn 2 Innervate+Echoing Ooze+Mark of the Wild Awesome
Nice deck. I made this on my own on accident and when I saw yours I was like, dang it's 99% the same. Works well.
Good post.
I found this even more inconsistent than token druid. The card draw is not real and I felt like there were many many occasions I was stuck with dead cards in my hand.
so far so bad.
I really really dont like using feugen, stallag and those shenanigans, far too weak.
Take out the part in your guide where KT rezes himself after a rag hit, Ben Brode tweeted that was not supposed to happen, making it a bug.

Aside from that, the deck looks pretty good!
What about a Poison Seed? It can help on some matches, and seems synergic with many cards in deck
Fun card, but I wouldn't dare to include Poison Seeds without Starfall or Azure Drake. If you were to go in that direction you'd basically have a new deck.
Can't keep up with zoo or aggro decks. Even with getting the ooze combo and ghouls.
If you see more Zoo match ups than usual, I'd suggest to include Sludge Belcher and / or Sen'jin Shieldmasta .
I am not entirely sure if it was possible to improve the Druid vs Zoo match up in general.
I felt this deck had a serious issue on early game. Ghoul and Ooze aren't good early (Turn 2) minions, chance to draw Ooze + Mark combo before Turn 4 is quite low, so this deck heavily relies on Innervate. But man, Kel'Thuzad is fun! Thanks for posting the deck.
Agreed. If you don't get Innervate and / or Swipe, you are in a whole world of trouble, I am trying to improve the situation with Wild Growth, but it could make the aggro match up even worse.
there isnt much synergy with card draw :/
Missing BGH and don't have black knight to replace with any suggestions?
I only have 1 Keeper of the Grove NOT 2 and I don't have Big Game Hunter. I do have and can use 2 ANCIENT OF LORE instead.
If I don't have a second Keeper of the Grove, would a second Ancient of Lore be OKAY? What do you think? What's a good replacement for Big Game Hunter? Thank you guys!
why do you use undying ghoul i dont see the synergy
"I am still not sure if the ghouls can be justified for the sake of the early game but as an expense for late. You can easily ditch these for Wild Growths"
But I am open for any suggestions as a replacement.
I missing BGH, maybe cenarius instead?
