DK control Hunter works perfectly in Wild thanks to cards like Explosive Sheep, Unstable Ghoul, Sludge Belcher, etc. and a few other amazing card combos.
The sheeps have amazing synergy with Play Dead. It's a 2 card 3 mana flamestrike to both sides of the board, which is fine because as a control deck, you won't have many minions on the board anyways. Play dead also has amazing synergy with Sylvanas Windrunner. It's a 2 card, 7 mana, random mind control, which is back breaking when used against another control deck.
The last but coolest card combo in this deck, is the Toxic Arrow and Unstable Ghoul, 4 mana, board clear. This combo has won me numerous games, and the best part about it is, the opponent cannot go face because of the taunt, so you also save precious hp. Toxic Arrow is also pretty versatile, 2 damage against aggro decks, or as a single target removal, sacrificing your own minion (as long as it has 3 hp+), similar to Hunter's Mark.
With the new Boomsday expansion cards, Missile Launcher synergizes with two Hunter cards, Venomizer and Toxic Arrow. Combining either of these 2 cards with Missile Launcher creates an 8 mana board clearing minion that the opponent needs to spend resource on killing or else they won't able to establish their own board.
Awesome deck! I included the Taddius package and it‘s so much fun! Thanks for the inspiration. :)
I also included Cult Master for card draw. Works great so far.

Hope you're having fun with reno hunter! It's my fave deck, I've had so many iterations of it, as you can see in my revised history. Maybe instead of revising the deck, I should separate all my different iterations of reno hunter lol. FYI, explosive sheep works great with zilliax since all the dmg from the sheep heals you. You can also connect them with toxic arrow or a venomizer for another board wipe.
Also, I advise you to take out Skitterer since the only reason I included it was because of ashmore (needed one more rush card). This card is not that bad, but its not good enough to include without some other benefit. Also please take out cult master, he is REALLY bad for control or heavy midrange type decks. Since you don't have many cheap minions it's hard to get card draw from him. I play many iterations with the curator package instead with Primordial drake and Emeriss. But you can include another dragon like Azure drake if you don't have Emeriss.
I like that you added Thaddius package, it wins you games much easier than Sneed's Old Shredder. I had that package in my previous builds, but I'm playing a list with thaddius atm that includes Emeriss and N'zoth lol. It's a bit greedy but it's for when I see too much greedy decks on ladder.
I can see you have updated your deck list with Witchwood and Boomsday cards.
Could you give us an update as to how the deck plays now, how well you are doing with it and what the new cards are there for? Also what did they replace?
Kind regards
The quickest way to my heart is for a deck to have Stalagg & Feugen.
Sneed's fits this deck nicely since he is a great value card for any Nzoth deck. Even though he is a bit slower, he also has great synergy with Play dead. Bone drake is also a bit slower but he should work. Another deathrattle card that is also good is Cairne, hes works better in a more faster meta, while Bone drake works better in a slower one. Highmanes also work wonderfully in this deck. I actually took Barnes out for another healbot beause i found that he didn't realy impact the control or aggro matchups that much.
Nax is out now, check shops
I took out a Tracking for an Eater of Secrets because tracking kept being a dead card and to help combat Ice Block and the occasional secret deck.
Tracking shoukd never be a dead card because you should be using it at the soonest opening you have. If you're really having issues with secrets, I'd take out Loot Hoarder for Flare. Helps you with cycle and accomplishes the same thing as Eater of Secrets. Either tech works though, it's mostly down to preference which one you go with.
No more questions, Your Honor
Wow, I haven't thought about Dreadscale, it would honestly be a bit better than the hounds against agro, and it can be another trigger for the Explosive sheeps. On the other hand, the hounds is also a bit more flexible as you can control who to target with the hounds. The reason for the 1 healbot is simply because I didn't know what to take out for an extra healbot. The doomsayer, I find, is more impactful than the healbot early game so I was wary of taking it out. The quick shot is also important for it's flexibility, as it can be another trigger for the Explosive sheeps.
I like Barnes mainly to fit in the curve, this deck literally has no 4 drop besides him lol. There's also only a few bad outcomes from him, getting the stitched trackers, doomsayer, Nzoth, and healbot. Even getting a tar creeper isn't that bad because it is a 3/1 taunt during opponent's turn. Getting a Stallag or Feugen from Barnes is awesome against control decks. But I agree with you, if more healing is needed, I think Barnes would be the first one out.
Have you tested Baron Geddon in this deck?
Geddon is not needed in this deck with all the board clears. I find the toxic arrow + Geddon combo too slow, at that point of the game, you either have won or lost against a swarm or agro deck. I also find Primordial Drake better than the Geddon for the 2 dmg aoe, since continuous 2 dmg across the board from Geddon is not necessary usually. But once again the Drakes aren't needed either since this deck contains so many board clears already.
Those are solid substitutes. Glad that you're having fun with the deck!
I love the idea, might test it one of these days :D thanks for sharing!
