This is the paladin deck I used to get to legend in wild. Uses all the OP paladin synergies you can think of. Sadly I don't own Sunkeeper Tarim or else he would probably make the deck even better than it already is. I would most likely play him instead of Tirion or Blessing of Kings, you can try it out. I wouldn't replace any of the other cards.
No unwinnable matchups as far as I can tell. Token druid felt like the only deck I was unfavoured against. If people like this I can do a full writeup.
Edit: I finally crafted him and put in Sunkeeper Tarim for Tirion Fordring. As expected Tarim is just amazing. Tirion was the last addition to the deck anyway, turns out he is kinda slow. Sometimes the Ashbringer is also in the way of Muster for Battle, so I'm trying to avoid the anti synergy.
Because of the addition of Sunkeeper Tarim I don't think Equality is that important anymore. A 2nd copy of Keeper of Uldaman should do a very similar job for big targets. On top of that you can use it on a token for tempo more freely because you know that you have another one in your deck you can save for the big taunt target or whatever.
Edit 2: Keeper of Uldaman out, Dr. Boom in. Loatheb is also REALLY strong, especially against priest or mage, which can be difficult matchups.
In case you are wondering about all the changes, this was the original decklist I used to get to legend:
Didn't count stats but I reached legend after 2 days with this deck, had a very hard time against Priest but pulled through in the end! Thank you so much!
I know it's the new hotness but I don't think you can justify Midrange Paladin without Tirion so I cut 1 Bonemare for him
Tirion is slow as stated - good for control bad for midrange.
Made some changes to this deck: while Hydrologist can give you good secrets, i often simply had crappy ones, too often (everytime eye for an eye for example), so i changed them to Argent Protectors. Also i don't think that Divine Favor works in this deck, so i replaced them with Solemn Vigil; with this card i can at least draw 2 cards. And that's simply my preference: i replaced Blessing of Kings with Justicar Trueheart, but i might put blessing back and remove something else for her
Edit: changed back Hydrologist, she's not so bad as long as blizzard doesn't give me only repentance, eye for an eye and sacred trial. (and yes, i had this combo 4 times in a row)
Still: Justicar Trueheart is awesome in this deck; 2 minions is extreme hard to deal with compared to 1. But i think replacing Blessing of Kings is wrong. Not sure if maybe Spikeridged Steed is better; simply because i never really had a good target or enough mana for this card...
Hydrologist is an amazing card. I don't think that there is a single Paladin secret that is completely useless in this deck. You can always find a use for any secret imo. In fact Eye for an Eye probably won me 2-3 games on it's own on my way to legend against freeze/otk mages. Just put them to 1 health and play the secret. There's not a lot they can do then. The fact that you can chose between 3 secrets is really powerful imo, because you can adapt extremely well with it. Btw Repentance is pretty good if you have 1/1's or divine shield minions to trade off.
I'm not sure if you've tried out the deck like it was supposed to be played tbh. Sorry, but Solemn Vigil is substanially worse compared to Divine Favor from what I've tested. Divine favor will almost always draw you at least 2-3 cards for 3 mana. On top of that it has the potential to be completely insane and draw 5-7 cards which can win games on its own. Solemn vigil can theoretically draw you 2 cards for 0 mana. Not bad. But how often is this the case? From my experience you don't want to trade off your minions which would reduce the cost. You will have divine shields very often as well and you try to go for value trades most of the time. Solemn vigil rarely gets reduced below 2 from what I've tested. Although 2 cards for 2 mana doesn't seem bad on paper, Divine Favor will almost always give you way more value.
Justicar Trueheart is a card I have thought about as well. Could be good and maybe I should test it somehow. However I don't think you should replace Spikeridged Steed with it because this card is basically your number one win condition against pirate warrior. If you can get off the buff on turn 6 and are above 10 health it's basically GG.
I am really interested in this deck so i have a few questions because this exact version would be like a 5k dust invest for me unfortunatelly:how important is Dr. Boom in this deck, would it be possible to just replace him with other late game minions like Ragnaros the Firelord or something? Also why no Stand Against Darkness or Vinecleaver?More dudes more synergy,or are they just too slow right now?
Look at the original version I got to legend with. There are only two epics (Quartermaster) and one legendary (Tirion Fordring). And you don't even need Tirion imo, it's just another win condition against decks where you can use the Ashbringer to close out games after they cleared your board or something. I would just play Vinecleaver. I've actually tried it out like this when I was experimenting with the deck. Overall I would say that Vinecleaver can get a lot more value in this deck than Tirion (sounds crazy lol). It's a little bit more inconsistent though because often times you will lose some tempo the turn you play it. If you facetank too much with it you can also just die sometimes. That's why I played Tirion instead. Vinecleaver is a decent replacement though.
this was going really good but i've been stuck at rank 3 too many standard jade druids wrecking me =( Im doing well against aggro druids for the most part but i have 31% win rate against druids in general which is just tanking my ranking all i see is druids lately. The rogue was just bad luck.
Incredible deck, got me to rank 5 in no time.
I don't know people play murloc, I feel recruit paladin especially with steward of darkshire generating 3 divine shield recruits easily by turn 5-6, followed up with buffs are a lot harder to stop.
Replace one [card]Bonemare[/card] to Dr. Boom, Lightfused Stegodon to Loatheb, and [card]Spikeridged Steed [/card] for second [card]Blessing of Kings[/card].
Great suggestions! I'm currently trying it out, although I want to keep the bonemares because they are a big reason why this deck works imo.
No Sunkeeper Tarim ?
the card is stable in all Paladin decks, you should add it
Yeah I know. When I made the deck I didn't own him though. Crafted him now and I'm testing out how he fits in.
Perhaps you could drop a Divine Favor for 1 The Curator for synergy with Hydrologist and Stegadon?
I think the Curator is too slow for this deck. For a 7 mana card you really want to have a bigger impact on the board.
Update to the token paladin deck with added bonemare? I am liking it...
If I was going to make blessing of king's a tarim i don't know if I'd still want to run 2 D favors
