I don't take any credit for this deck!
Zetalot currently plays it on the EU server in top 16 Legend.
I wanted to share this deck with you guys to show you that priest is more than viable with Naxxramas!

I'm sure some people want to know more about this deck. Like basic mulligan strategy and how to play this deck.
Basically you want to mulligan for Undertaker, Zombie Chow, Loot Hoarder and Dark Cultist.
You want a strong turn 1 and turn 2 opener every game. This is deck is all about momentum and not a control deck.
This deck is, like zoo, a minion based control deck. Of course you have some great board clears Auchenai Soulpriest + Circle of Healing and Holy Nova but in generel you want to trade favorably with your minions.
The card that seems to give many people who play it the most problems is the Deathlord. Deathlord is NOT a turn 3 card unless you play against an aggro deck. If you play against a control deck you want to use him smart. Play him to protect lethal, your other minions or when you know your opponent has no removal.
Baron Rivendare can be used for some amazing combos in this deck:
- With Auchenai Soulpriest + 2x Zombie Chow + Circle of Healing for 20 damage
- With Dark Cultist for two times 3 Health on your minions
- With Sylvanas Windrunner to steal two minions from your opponent
- With Sludge Belcher to get two token taunts after he dies.
- Or, if you like a challenge, with Deathlord to give your opponent two minions on the board!
Replacements:
A lot of people ask for a replacement for Sylvanas Windrunner. While her effect is unique you can replace her raw stats with Loatheb. Of course Loatheb does have a total different effect but can help you in different situations than Sylvanas Windrunner.
If you need to replace Cairne Bloodhoof i would suggest Argent Commander for good trades or Boulderfist Ogre for a big body.
Injured Blademasters are great 3 drops for this deck, change to them.
Zetalot took them out and replaced them with Injured Blademasters. You'll need to run two Circles of Healing to make that worth it, though. His current deck is here: https://imgur.com/BV70P3f
great deck
This deck is amazingly fun. Just for that it's worth playing imo. Sometimes you forget that you can actually win games while having fun.
- With Auchenai Soulpriest + 2x Zombie Chow + Circle of Healing for 20 damage
Make sure you don't kill your Auchenai doing this else you'll heal for 20
he's replying to the section about baron rivendare combos
pretty sure he meant while having Baron Rivendare on the board
I really enjoy this deck. Good against zoolock, miracle rogues, shammys and mages. Other is 50/50. But...how do I handle hunters? I really dont get it =/
I've been having a lot of fun with this deck, although it does lack removal and relies on a strong board. If you don't have a good curve early on in the game you will have trouble keeping up with the opponent and building your board.
This deck is excellent on paper. but when it comes to execution is very lacking. The current meta means you need your PERFECT start hand or you're either in for a 20+ min win or a 5 turn loss.
That's Priest for you.
Seems good
I think this deck has little hope if you don't get early game plays in your starting mulligan... no?
Sure this is really fun to play, but I think it's very dependent on starting hand.
Made the deck because I love priest. Only played a few games (wins at rank 7), but I'm not sure how unlucky my opponents were with draws. Feels fragile. I may have been fortunate. I was not able to pull off any of the deathrattle combos. They were requiring too many cards and 2-3 turns of setup, which was letting my opponents see exactly what I was up to, and deal with it a turn or two before I could complete it. I've had no luck drawing Zombie Chow early. That could be part of it.
Seems fun though. I'll stick with it. I can't stand rush and OTK mechanics, so I'm always looking for good priest or slow druid decks.
After several more games today (all losses), it was clear that I needed to draw a little too well to win. The counters seem to be too specific and precise; if you have the one counter for what your opponent is doing, you break their back. If you can't draw it, you have no other way to stop them, and get crushed. It was fun for a little while though.
I love playing this deck so far. First game stole a Baron Rivendare and Earth Elemental. Second game I won after thoughtstealing a Ysera and getting nightmare. It might not be consistent but its fun when it works. PS: The BR ability does not seem to stack.
Very funny deck and it does provide fairly good consistency. But the Deathlord is far from my favorites so I sub them for other good cards (depending on match ups): Shadow Word: Pain, Loatheb, Stalagg & Feugen, etc.
Viability of Kel'Thuzad in this deck?
Very viable. Especially running Sludge belcher. Sub out a deathlord for him.
this deck is hella fun, but is also VERY inconsistent and lacks removal.
