With the release of The Lich King, we have a viable finisher and Barnes find. Also, the secret line-up has somewhat improved, and while the meta is still is massive flux, secrets give you quick answers with a tempo-boost that allow you to undercut the control decks that abound at the moment. A turn one Secretkeeper followed up by any of the secrets is a minion that must be answered. On coin, with turn two Cloaked Huntress and a secret, and your on your way to an average of 8+ damage on turn three with a loaded board.

With the exception of Secretkeeper, Barnes only draws value: Skelemancer, The Lich King, Professor Putricide, Savannah Highmane, Bloodmage Thalnos.

Skelemancer is particularly useful, while your trying to protect your likely 3/4 or 4/5 Secretkeeper

Gladiator's Longbow is a targeted non-minion answer to many taunt-type minions and may give you reach on turn 7. 

For game that go long there is, Call of the Wild, Deathstalker Rexxar, and The Lich King.

 

For Control Meta's, reduce the Explosive Trap count, increase Venomstrike Trap.
