Hello all today we will be taking down the 2nd boss in the Construct Quarter who goes by the name of Grobbulus. This is best and most easily accomplished with the Priest class so as not to lead any astray that is exactly what we will be using.
Our combo cards in Priest class specific cards are way too fast for poor Grobbulus to keep tempo with and our passive ability is a direct counter to his Poison Cloud effect so all we need to do is choose the right neutral card base that work best against his own passive and that will spiral our tempo out of control and he will never be able to keep pace or save himself from being pounded on except for throwing countless taunters in our face till his hand is near empty.
The strategy is simple enough all you need in your opening hand is either a Lightwell or Stoneskin Gargoyle as they work best since they have self healing capabilities which allow us to be able to focus matters elsewhere by freeing up our mana supply. Next you are going to want a Divine Spirit on one of those guys aforementioned. Last you are going to want to draw into an Inner Fire to make a minion of your choosing enchanted with the Divine Spirit an absolute Beast!!!
If you have managed to do this successfully the match is pretty much a surefire win in most cases so the above is best-case scenario and as CCG players we know we always don't get the RNG Gods in our favor so this deck is packed with tons of spot removal in the forms of Holy Smite,Shadow Word: Pain,Shadow Word: Death & even a lone copy of Holy Fire if need be giving us all we need to re-take control of the board if our mulligan phase was unsuccessful and Grobbulus was full throttle.
We also come equipped with two types of board clear one in creature base that works a strong majority of the time as your opponent is AI and not human so a Doomsayer placed in time of need will work wonders for you. The other comes to us via AOE small creature damage & a small heal in the same card Holy Nova so two copies of each really makes you a strong contender in this match up whether you get the combo from the start or not?
Alright now lets talk combo as the deck describes is indeed a combo deck. That's because it really is! But let's say you miss 1 of your pieces to combo off being your Divine Spirit? Well not to worry because Power Word: Shield in this specific deck is combo enough on its own +2 life and draw is too powerful in here for certain. The other combo is Baron Rivendare + Dark Cultist. If this should happen to go off you can bypass not having a Divine Spirit in your hand yet and just go for kill should both effects choose to enhance the same minion. (Anything 8+ health should work nicely) :)
Lastly we can best abuse Grobbulus passive Poison Cloud by throwing some Acolyte of Pain in there. Two work best as we need our draw mechanism to hunt out our killing blow card and last combo piece the Inner Fire and with him doing 2 damage to it every single turn while still having it on the board cause he's a computer and not human then just healing it to draw again makes it an invaluable card drawing engine.
Also to keep you alive should you fall entirely behind I have thrown in 2 copies of the powerful yet cheap casting Deathlord in which can also be combo'd with Divine Spirit & Inner Fire on emergency situations as a result of his already high toughness factor.
Lastly I have included 1 lone copy of Mass Dispel for when things get hairy on Grobbulus side of the board and he has an army of taunters and you cant get through or any other effect you don't want to happen also drawing you a card in the process.
Well that pretty much covers the fight entirely remember to like & subscribe if you used my guide to help you so I am assured I am doing you all a good service.

Tried other decks with no success. This one got it on the first try! Thank you, Donnie!
After trying 4 other decks, this one worked. Thanks!
Hey good morning,Cachirro Excellent feedback! Great to know I could be the one to help you when you have tried other decks and failed. I pride myself on being a very friendly deck architect trying to cover every single situation you could encounter in the fight and present you with means in my deck to still be able to come back from an otherwise certain loss say if you should fall behind in tempo leaving some room for error so even the less experienced can still manage the fight with the RNG.
Also remember to like & subscribe so that this deck gets popularity to give others in the community the same tool you had for your resource to win the fight. If you are having trouble with any of the other heroic bosses of the Construct Quarter I have made similar spoon feeding guides to get you through them battles as well. Subscribing will allow you to view any new decks or strategy guides I make the second I post them. I also do arena pick analysis guides to give you the upper hand on drafting an arena deck and offering 24/7 assistance should I be online telling you not only what to pick but why to chose them so you may learn from the experience rather than just be like "okay" to better prepare you for future drafts and to not need so much of a crutch.
Well that pretty much wraps it up "Good luck for the remainder of the season & with Naxxramas,Cachirro!"

Wow, I have no idea how people are winning first try with this deck. The amount of time it takes to get any of these combos in a meaningful way (e.g., an 8/8 stoneskin is not lasting long, especially if one of the +4/+4 taunt cards comes out early) makes it incredibly hard to get any sort of momentum going. I think I'm on try 7 or 8 already, still losing horribly.
Ive been trying all day and this deck has not worked once
It works just read the strategy guide I made and put that to use as well as build the deck. Ideally all you need to do is start with the Lightwell in hand and that's 1/3rd of the battle done right there. From there you just need to draw into a Divine Spirit which you put on your Lightwell to keep it alive meanwhile it's keeping "YOU" alive completely countering the effect of Grobbulus passive ability of Poison Cloud then drawing into either another Divine Spirit to also cast on the Lightwell making this thing like a 20/20 or just going for the kill utilizing an Inner Fire leaving your Lightwell as a 10/10 and smashing for 10 clearing all taunts away as possible till Grobbulus falls over dead from not being able to race your strong tempo gain and high stats so early on.
Sorry you are having trouble with the match up but if you get the above which is your best case scenario the match is a lock and if you don't then you have to use your life gains and board clears also mentioned in the guide. Best of luck in the rest of your attempts and let me know if you eventually get him or not in the future.
"Good luck with the rest of Naxxramas,Drak!"

Hey Donnie, I just gave it another shot this morning and killed him in the first try, using divine spirit and inner fire on one of my deathlords, he was dead before turn 9. Appreciate the help and I wish you luck on your future ventures sir.
Hey that's wonderful news! Told ya you'd get him eventually after reading what the guide was all about & you are very much welcome & thank you,Drak for the much needed feedback. I knew you'd get him if you just kept at it! Remember to like the deck so others can see how to beat him in the community as well from the deck gaining popularity & subscribe to me so that you can get all of my future decks and strategy guides & arena pick analysis guides and it will inform you as I make them if you do this.
"Best of luck to you this season!"

That is what I aim to do so glad I can see my deck being so successful at helping others from our community. So thank you very much for the feedback,RayvlinJohn. Doing so will keep you up to anything I have in the works as I post it to the site and since I check the website quite frequently and only have 13 subscribers at the moment I am here at your disposal to ask anything under the sun about the game you should need to know about from an accomplished player & 20+ year Mtg professional so let er rip you get all of the above for subscribing and I answer all subscribers in a promptly fashion. I'd probably be a lot more popular truth be told but I haven't started streaming yet so I am going to guess that's why "Haha"
"Good luck in the Frostwyrm Quarter & the remainder of the season,RayvlinJohn."

Feel free to like & subscribe to me as I will be coming out with more decks for constructed and arena pick analysis & even future Naxxramas guides for the final Frostwyrm Quarter for defeating Sapphiron & Kel'Thuzad as well and write on all topics and don't just give you a list, but say why I pick them which is the real needed information to pass down to the players of our community.

"Good luck this season the final Frostwyrm Quarter drops within a days time. Kel'Thuzad is ours!"

Not really sure why my deck just received a down vote for? The deck actually works quite well with the majority of the matches as wins for the Hearthstone community rather than losses and you don't even have to play the Mage class or own or be forced to craft an Alexstrasza to win either?
Oh well haters will be haters I guess? "Haha"
You are very much welcome,Tastybacontreat. Glad I could help you in your time of need. Feel free to subscribe as I have made guides you may like for all of the other bosses of the Construct Quarter :)
